The club have advised supporters to book until 2pm on Thursday so that it will definitely run (Refunds will be issued in case it doesn't) Supporters should not yet book match tickets yet until the coach is confirmed. Spurs are apparently handling away tickets for all their women's fixtures, and block A seems the best option... Sorry to be pedantic, but I think you mean the club have advised supporters to book before 2pm on Thursday The other thing only don't buy tickets if they are only able to get to the game via the coach Any indication on how many the club are looking for to make the coach run? On the basis it is a low % that use CATS for the mens fixtures I hope there is enough interest for those that rely on the coach to get to games What is piss poor from the club is that they announce this coach running on the Tuesday and want numbers booked basically within 48 hours - I would imagine anyone planning on going would have sorted their travel plans by now. I can't imagine many people leave it until 5 days before a game to arrange travel to a game. Going forward they need to make plans for away coaches a couple of weeks in advance, but can imagine if anyone does book for Sunday and it does get cancelled Thursday afternoon they will be put off booking again for fear of it being cancelled at short notice.

There's not much I can say, especially on a public forum, but it's a learning curve for everyone involved. I am surprised with how long it has taken for everything to be set-up, considering that the SC&T did hand over full control of all away coach travel to the club

Wasn’t the last coach run at a loss too? The club must take a bit of responsibility for this as it was only advertised on Tuesday and wanted numbers by 2pm Thursday on whether to run it or not. By this point 17 people had booked to travel Yes there was a loss and the club asked the SC&T to split the losses, which after a discussion everyone on the SC&T board were in agreement that it was important to get the coach to run, especially as those 17 people may not have been able to go otherwise at such short notice Going forward it is going to be tricky, to me the club should already be advertising travel for future away games in an attempt to assist as many people as possible to go to games Sadly though unless numbers massively improve I can't see any more coaches running, but many of us have gone on private coaches / mini buses to mens games so smaller transport (mini bus) has to be the worst case scenario that the club should be looking at But as with the mens game the actual number of people that travel on CATS is a very low % of total people that go to the games, so it is no real surprise numbers are very low
shahanshahan
Posting now as haven't been on OTIB since Sunday. Brisbane Road is a nice decent ground. Would love to visit if City men ever played Leyton Orient, but not sure when that would ever happen. On Sunday, City fell asleep a little bit which led to the first two goals - especially the second which bounced off Martha Thomas as Marckese was taking her goal kick. Funny, but unfortunate. The free kick & Spurs third goal right before half time was gutting to concede. Much better second half from City. Great to see other fans who made their own way to the game e.g. @miser, those who are London based & were in Leeds the day before e.g. @SinéadB as well as those who booked on the coach. There definitely would have been more numbers had the club not announced it so late when others would have made plans by then Edited October 10, 2023 by shahanshahan

Erithacus
A change of player personnel for the Conti Cup and perhaps there are some good reasons to have such a line-up. I realise the trip to Man City on the weekend will be a priority and it's also an opportunity to see some of the other squad members. However, it is still a worry to see Fran and Abi off the charts. The new arrivals this summer are yet to really form an understanding (it will take time and patience) and it's the midfield where I feel much work is needed. Southampton are a good side (we remember the games last season) and gave us plenty to think about. Opening play was about defending and finding a way to stifle the visitors. Slowly we managed to force our way into the game and evened things out eventually. It was a rainy night but there were too many poor passes and hurried movements that went astray, leading to short passages of possession. Up front Shania Hayles was pretty much on her own and had few real breaks, although one in the first half ended up as a one-on-one. Rachel Furness was the driving force in the midfield, although she was usually found at the rear of it supporting the back line. Moving forwards was taxing and difficult. Despite staying right out wide for most of the time in possession, Jess Simpson didn't really cause too many problems; Ffi Morgan on the other wing was also kept quiet. Rachel Furness was always encouraging the rest of the players and was bravely on the end of a cross to score, perhaps against the run of play. Southampton scored with a sweeping move right after the restart, which upset the balance. They had a few other good chances but the game finished 1-1. Penalties are a slightly odd touch but perhaps good training. Second half subs seem to have been for tactical reasons (with the weekend in mind, perhaps) and it was good to see Brooke get some minutes - even if shee did miss a spot kick. Overall some encouraging performances and some players are possibly worth considering in the future but we need to establish ourselves and make a greater impact. The season is well underway! 6

old_eastender
Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp are back in contention to play, after serving their suspensions in the Conti Cup in midweek. Guess maybe some of it is down to the opposition taking their foot off the gas a little or is it the City girls fighting to avoid a humiliating defeat? To be fair, City will thump a few teams by five + goals this season IMO.
bcfc01
Great effort to draw the second half 0-0.

Erithacus
I suppose the result may be seen as a positive, but the fact is we let in five from two dozen odd shots. That leaves us at the bottom of the table (thus far) without a point and -9 GD. Game four is home to Arsenal (who themselves are not setting the WSL alight yet) next Sunday evening. This league is going to be a real test of everythig this club has.

Sadly, rock bottom with nil points is how it's likely to remain.

Shelton’s Love Gravy
Grace Clinton scored a spectacular goal for Spurs, which proved to be the winner against Brighton. Such a shame we don’t have her on a season-long loan…
