Nottingham Forest v Bristol City Match Day 40

Much better. The high press has been really effective.

Kick in the face seems to have knocked the thought of getting to the byline into COD.

Nagy and Smith linked up very well, JD and Vyner look assured.

Just need to continue in the same vain but test the keeper. Wells needs to liven up though.

Nagy has been very good. Maybe he read my comments on him ??

In fairness my champagne moment of the Wednesday game was when their striker was through 1 on 1 with him at the half way line and he just guided him through on goal. It was the weakest defending I’ve ever seen!

That was actually quite enjoyable.  Frustrating too that we haven’t taken better care of the ball around the box.

Gutted for Niki.

Zak nice and composed, not afraid to sling a cross in, and a handy long throw.

Jay been very good

Nagy creating angles, when was the last time we played through the first press.  Good to see.

Benik looks sharp when it’s at his feet

Forest are so boring to watch. Sit back with their big centre backs and try and hit on break. And they look dangerous on corners.

Very systematic in how they play.

I am petrified of us defending corners without Fam.

I think they have mainly all played well. Only a bit disappointed in Wells so far.

Nakhi is 6/1 for first goalscorer

Hold on, hold on, hold on.

you’ll have to forgive me here, I’m sat at work, so following the game on here. But the more I read this thread the more it appears like we’ve been passing it around nicely on the half way line, maybe even the second third, but we’ve not actually created anything in terms of goal threat?

Clearly a much better performance. Dominated first 20, and fairly even thereafter.

BUT...a draw is no good to us! We need to win, and at some point we will have throw caution to the wind and go for it.

Mate your bang on. We just don’t cause defences any trouble.

Didn't realise Andi got booked for his foul. This followed all the Forest players crowding around the ref!

Ridiculous Cash’s head was well down and Andy was playing the ball!

if right was right Cash should have got a RED for his high boot

Had to look that up as I didn't realise either, shows the only difference was the ref not wanting to do something 10 seconds into the game and bottled giving a card

IMO it was dangerous play and Cash should have got a straight red. just like Freeman at Brentford.

I wouldn't quite go that far, we are getting into the attacking 3rd and putting in some crosses, but although the crosses haven't been bad they haven't been particularly threatening either.

Nagy is effectively linking the defence and attacking midfield, but I would still like someone who is further forward to thread the balls through for Benik in the middle.

Game would suit Fam for Wells for me if we are to continue as we are.

I think that the problem may be.....the view from behind O'Dowda made it look like Cash caught him in the upper chest.  The camera behind the goal line clearly showed a kick to the mush.  Ref didn't have that view, though.

To little to late, we have already thrown away 6 points since the restart.

6 points while tinkering away with players he’s already had for nearly 40 games. Let’s face it, he still hasn’t a clue on which players, which formation, or the style of football the team will play from one game to another.

Pretty much, there's been some crosses into the box from COD and Dasilva, and Nagy has tried to just chip it to the right hand side of the box for Weimann to run onto. but there's definitely not been much cutting edge despite our dominance on the flanks and the industry of Nagy and Smith.

A corner at the and was headed close, and Afobe had a couple of slim chances.

COYR let's actually get at least a point please! (More importantly, a performance in a formation that makes sense though please)

To be honest as much as I want a performance at this stage 3 points is all that counts..
