Mr Popodopolous
I see that Gellaw Newco 202- the stadium company- have released their accounts albeit with very limited disclosures. Zero rent. Now personally I'm not bothered if it is included within FFP/P&S transactions if it doesn't appear in that bit but it's pretty irregular set against all of the other stadium sale and leasebacks in an FFP context and actually rent receivable should be a thing. Plus, it states that the stadium at the balance sheet date- no material change in perceived valuation, still £81m or thereabouts.
Mr Popodopolous
Shouldn't bite but having a quick browse- some very chippy individuals on DCFCFans. "Conspired to do to our club"- what a whiner! It's funny really, dunno where to begin with some of them but we knew that already. One or two of them are complaining too about ongoing punishment or the risk therein- plus the possibility of unequal treatment. Well guess what, their case has been a) A unique combination of P&S AND administration, b) The largest debt pile in particular to HMRC of clubs who have hit the wall and c) The only club not to release accounts for 3 years. Unique actions deserve unique solutions,

Mr Popodopolous
Gotta laugh at some of the idiots. Unlikely SL will get bored of it- stadium does much more than just football, as Pride Park frankly can too- underutilised ground if anything in that respect. As in good commercial revenue but likely could do more. Here? Great gig on Thursday night- never say never of course though, we are at risk as are many clubs if the owner no longer wishes to fund them or cannot fund them, If I'm a moron, what does that make some- by no means all of them but some of them absolutely- of the howlers at the moon in certain contexts who inhabit that forum- they were so ignorant and probably in a lot of cases willfully so about the FFP issues that for all people say fans don't deserve it etc, they were deserving in the extreme as to what has happened to Derby Some who should know better still peddle the conspiracy line or the unfair/incorrect treatment line- it's amusing to see but actually incredible at the same time. Don't necessarily agree with the tax policy of SL- but the share conversion is merely what takes for ALL clubs, the equity bit- from lower to upper loss limit. It gives us no further advantage, in fact I assume that Derby have done or do the same. £15m in a 3 year period without=£39m with or anything in between- that's all it is. They're coming into survival- as I always assumed they would, Derby but the EFL business plan won't allow extravagant expenditure- they should also read this bit again...I am sure that the indicative figures which formed the basis of the Agreed Decision were and have been accurate- if they aren't however, then I am sure the EFL will take a view. For them to hit out at others for poor analysis and takes though is quite funny given the tidal wave of sheeeite on their forum in respect of these issues from the moment the Pride Park sale news emerged over 3 years ago via the charges, appeal, restatement, and through Professional Standing to the end point of the final Agreed Decision. https://ramstrust.org.uk/wp/dcfc-supporters-groups-meet-efl/ From mid Feb 2022 or so but do the EFL actually have the bona fide, restated accounts for the last 6 years? Only reason I ask is because the EFL Embargo Service has not yet removed a couple of them which should happen as soon as the accounts are in. Mr Popodopolous
My slightly ranty digs aside last night, a few bits I don't understand- on their forum. The prior insistence over there that it was the CLUB accounts in isolation that appeared to be the standard for P&S/FFP. Except of course from 2016/`17 onwards it was a) the consolidated or at least consolidation of the club, plus Club DCFC, Stadia DCFC and DCFC Academy that formed the basis. Strangely, there was a bit of a doubling down on it last year when ordered to restate- running with Kieran Maguire's £30m in extra losses, although he added them to the club rather than Sevco 5112 estimates for FFP losses which was an error on his part. It's patently obvious that for FFP/P&S you have to consolidate all component parts as a starting point and then subtract what is required thereafter. The lack of critique/discussion about their auditors. Granted they maybe wary of the risks of libel, defamation etc but their signing off was surely somewhat discredited by subsequent events. Not illegal but non compliant under FRS 102 all the same. Were Derby lead up the garden path by dint of their approval- or did Mel Morris (somehow) lead Mr. Delve and the other Mr. Delve up it? Yes I took the proverbial a bit with my Rick Parry comments but he has brought a sense of order to the FFP situation in the Championship, and he has been high up in 3 major Governing bodies in a football context- UEFA, the Premier League and the Football League. Plus his time at Liverpool? Would also be good in the discussion between Kieran Maguire and them if someone mentioned a) The fact that the amortisation would rack up in the end and as a result a potential crunch might arise at some point and b) The allegation made by the Football League that Derby sought to exclude a chunk of amortisation costs via the Gellaw Newco 203 impairment on acquisition...there was a whole separate case about it in the 2020/21 season. https://www.efl.com/contentassets/873a8914e09740d3b3a8848131ea10b8/efl-v-derby-county---decision-on-new-evidence.pdf Posted before, but proof as if it were needed, as to what a devious and cynical bunch Derby's hierarchy have been. That's a good point, the administration aspect and FFP combined is quite a unique situation and one that deserves a tailor made solution. My personal preference is something like... Quote No transfer fees for 2-3 years. No loan fees or highly limited loan fees for that too. Similar with signing on fees. Remuneration not exceeding £6k per week for a new signing- and the signing on fee if applicable would be included in this. Same for new contracts of existing players who are set to expire. Agents fees only a %- think Reading was 3% or 5%- of the wage cap. Mr Popodopolous
There is a slight part of the regulations I don't quite get. Perhaps it's easily explainable? When under embargo, new signings and contract renewals are not necessarily permissible- especially under the administration embargo. What about existing options being taken up though? Reported within the last week that both Byrne and Buchanan have had extra year options activated- due to expire this summer but now 2023 it is. There seems to be nothing in the Embargo Service FAQs that covers this specific aspect- and unsure the EFL regs shed much light either but will look again. The bank holiday/inefficiency of US banks excuses seem to have been dropped. The thing with Nixon is that Derby fans slagged him off when he was saying things they didn't like then fell in love with him when he appeared to become Kirchner's mouthpiece. I understand Derby fans desperate to save their club choosing to believe any positive stories but it's always sensible to be sceptical until the evidence suggests you shouldn't be.

Bristol Rob
Ashley will be a safe pair of hands for Derby, has money, knows football, coped with being an unpopular owner and regardless of what Newcastle fans think, kept them solvent before moving the club on. Amazed that things have got this far however, these deals always seem to collapse when it comes to the 'show us the money' question, which suggests this is a question that should be asked a lot earlier in the takeover process.
