Fingers crossed come next month they'll be bringing out another book celebrating the fact that they are staying within their roots at the ramshackle of a stadium for the foreseeable future, there will also be a special addition showing pictures of fans who donate blue or white tester pots, chairs/sofas for the up and coming refurb of the Minimal Ground.

Might need to go to print immediately, UWE is 'critical' to the club's finances isn't it per Higgs? With the Dump mortgaged to Wonga and that loan needing paying it could be a short stay!

She's still busy come Monday...

COURT 16

Before MRS JUSTICE PROUDMAN

Monday, 29 June 2015

At 10 o'clock

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL

So unless she announces judgement on Tuesday 30th, it looks like the whole 'it has to be settled by June' argument has gone down the pan...

Going further if 30 June is an absolute deadline the club internally and its legal advisors should now know the position as I understand it. If they haven't had the draft judgment yet - just to add no action can be taken on the basis of a draft judgment - then the 30 June deadline will be missed.

They love a book about themselves self congratulating each other don't they. They keep telling anyone who listen ( which in fact is no one) how there are unique fans in British football. Only days ago Higgs was boasting about how everyone in league one is envious of the size of the club.

I'm sure all gasheads are afflicted by some sort of mass hysteria about their club. I completely serious their notion about their club is beyond parody .

Didn't they once release a DVD entitled something like 'The Great FA Cup Run' when they beat some lowly club and then lost the next game after a replay, ie three games in two rounds?!

Can't remember who or when so I apologise for a ridiculously vague post, but I do remember it...

Ladies & Gents please take a couple of minutes out of your busy lives & enjoy...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCaqXS-_O4Y

Eventually we'll see whether Pigg's "watertight contract" holds water. I doubt it will judging by the amount of time (and therefore money) being spent by the judge in deciding. If the sags don't like the outcome maybe a chorus of "Walk Small for ye be screwed by Sainsburies" would be in order at possible future cup derbies.

It doesn't help but the answer is simply once the Court is ready. Whether that is tomorrow, next week, next month or November it's a case of wait and see.

There is no ITK re the Court's next step, and if there is disclose it at your peril, so anything you read or hear it's a safe bet that it's probably guess work unless official.

Provisional list for 30 June is out.... no mention of it.

What does this mean for UWE's patience I wonder...

That it has ran out and the ground isn't happening in the meantime rovers win the case and are left homeless while Nick ***** off to Italy with all the money

How a rugby supporter viewed the deal.

Yes, you are right BD, Rovers had ended up playing another season at the Memorial Ground (and come on people it is the Memorial Ground, not 'Stadium' and certainly not the 'Mem').

BristolWelsh, I'm sorry but the acquisition of the ground by Rovers was questionable. I've gone over it a few (!) times but the Chairman (and a couple of others who made loans to the club) refused to let the shareholders of the club see the accounts at the first AGM (and only AGM I think), we were never informed of the deal that essentially gave one party the right to take control of the one physical asset for a nominal sum, he inserted that clause into the deal, and he was a shareholder in Rovers. Then, before you could say 'undeclared conflict of interest' he calls in his loans, puts us into receivership thus activating the clause that allowed Rovers to gain control of our Ground. Plus he recovered all his money from the sale of the Combination ground.

And as for WB's Deed of Trust, that has long been a hopeful rumour but has never been shown to actually exist. I think it is entirely mythical or it would have been produced long before now.

I guess Nicholas foray into the middle Eastern Arab Sheikh market drew a blank so he now trying for the rich US market. Honestly it's April Fool's Day every day with regards to the saggers.

Why would Piggs be looking to sell?  They have a "watertight" contract with Sainsbury's that is just about to pay out, a new cash cow ground in the offing,  a huge fan base, the best pitch outside the premier league and have just finished second in the conference.  Why would he possibly want to sell when things are looking so rosy?

I was going to post that they will all now be giving it big about how they are going to be huge and in the prem in a few years but then I remembered that they say that already.

That article is all about a bloke saying that he isn't interested in investing in them. It's just a space filler based on the fact that he was invited to a game and that Higgs wants out.

Someone may invest if/when they get a stadium, but not before that.

It genuinely looks like Higgs is starting to struggle with things and it's going to affect his health if he's not careful.

I agree. To me it looks like lets get this bloke in for a game, treat him like royalty and ask him to put our name about as available.
