Lanterne Rouge
Because they have this all-consuming jealousy and hatred of all things City their only dream is to be better than us. As they haven`t a snowball`s chance of ever improving to our level the only way it can happen is if we fail and that is what they dream of. I honestly think that if a g*shead was drowning and a City fan offered him his hand to save him he would rather pull him in than accept the help offered.

Fiale
I love Sir Rickie Lambert. I love Dean Windass. They are the biggest bunch of deluded supporters the football league has ever seen. They go around acting like they are a massive club. All Teds have massive chips on their shoulders, and always have. That is why we hate the sh**. As Gasheads we took an oath not to bite when we got relegated to the conference and simply stay silent and not mention Teds, but recently they have been unbearable. I prayed for them to lose against Wolves. At least there is a god!, no. You stopped talking about us out of sheer embarrassment at your club and supporters. You had your marathon "relegation party" thread that failed to happen and hen to add to the karma they fall out of the football league entirely, after already celebrating survival, not to mention against a team wearing a Rovers kit. You realised that after "coming for you" and countless optimistic posts spending the billionaire arabs money on lots of potential vanity projects, how you would be in the Premier league now you were the 6th richest club (in the UK or the world - who knows), how City would become irrelevant etc you realised your actually just another league 1 club, with no money, no success, an abomination of a football ground, and some of the most deluded fans in the world. Rovers world famous in papers for sexual assault, and punching police horses (not once but twice). I love it when they talk down our stadium Compared to So don't pretend you stopped talking about us for any reason other than sheer jealousy, and embarrassment of your own club (and no mater how much you claim underdog, etc it won't really hide/cover that feeling you have of slipping into obscurity, hell the fact you LOVE Windass -. Talk about setting your sights low, us losing a game or two is the biggest thing your club has had to celebrate in over 17 years).

glynriley
Kingswood Polak hitting the nail on the head here, although when he mentions 3 seasons, I presume he means winter, spring and summer? http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/11303/elephant-room?page=21 Whether we like it or not, they have the infrastructure and ground that is ready for premier league now. We may hate them, personally I don’t but that’s another story, but they are many years ahead of us and if we don’t see anything happen on the ground or training ground then we will lose a generation of fans and the only gasheads will be the kids of those fans we habe now. We need a sense of urgency and ASAP. We are already haemorrhaging money to them on conference faci, ities, boxing and other sports. When SL said “ in years to come no one will talk of bristol Rovers “ I never thought it could happen. I am now not so sure. If we carry on with thendebts accruing as they are now then we will be in deep trouble within 3 more seasons and the ground will no longer be ours, the debts owed will outstrip what it’s worth. This is the reality, if people want to pretend it’s all ok then that’s their prerogative but , make no mistake, unless the AL Q’s change debt into shares then we are seeing a club in crisis. That is the truth, I hate it but I won’t pretend it’s any different

In fact, you can’t get any pasties at all at Roma, which just goes to show that Rovers are better than a top tier Italian club.

Wanderingred
Yes, Social Media is currently crawling with gloating posts, riddled with spelling and grammatical errors from saggies. But believe me, although they appear to be enjoying themselves and are giving it the biggun on the outside, deep down they are spitting feathers with jealousy and hating every moment of their Sag existance. Just think about what they have to go through. Imagine that your club was based in one of Englands biggest cities yet averaged a pitifull 8500 fans. Imagine still having PTSD syndrome over actually dropping out of the football league and being the laughing stock of the entire country. Imagine playing in the worst ground in the football league, complete with tents and plastic chairs and being mocked for it by every visiting supporter. Imagine the frustration of whenever you travel abroad, meeting fellow football fans, saying you are from Bristol and the immediate reaction is "Oh, Bristol City??" Imagine what was going through their mind when Korey shot home in the 94th minute against the most famous team in the world. Imagine the hope and joy of being taken over by "billionaires" only to soon discover that nothing is going to change and they are going to remain a tin pot nothing club in a ramshackle stadium for the rest of their existance. Imagine watching your rivals as they win the League 1 title with 99 points (and the JPT just for kicks!), survive two relegation scares, redevelop their ground into the finest sporting venue in the Southwest of England, spend 20 or so Tilsons on exciting new players, humble Manure and reach a major semi final, all whilst you scrape out of non league and the basement division and get into the headlines for punching horses, boob cricket, and exploiting minumum wage workers. Watching us undeservedly get a hammering at a team they could only dream of playing is nothing more than a tiny breather in an utterly miserable existance for a saggie (in footballing terms of course, nothing personal). Soon, yesterday will be forgotten. We will be the talk of the footballing world again next week as we go head to head against probably the best team in Europe. We will continue our push for Premier League football when Norwich visit infront of 20k+ again a few days later then we have another exciting top of the table clash at Derby. They have dead rubber fixtures against Blackpool and Doncaster to look forward to infront of 8000 fans. This boils their p1ss so much. They know it, and they know that we know it which makes any attempts at p1ss taking on their behalf hollow and futile. Happy new year.
