I had no idea they were the bottom two, I found their  names on this Saturday’s betting coupon, could just as easily said the power houses of Hamilton and Motherwell, I caught the highlights of the weekend old firm game and if Rangers are Scotland’s second best team then god help Scottish football

Bristol football, usual story - dumb & dumber!!

Struggling with how 11th in The Championship is in any way comparable with 12th in League One.

Google the guy who scored against us for Hull as a sub today, a regular for Uruguay, cost £12m, scored 30 goals in Italy, the gas have absolutely no idea what our level is like now..

With todays defeat I'm guessing the 18 years gap is guaranteed? MTG

I expect Sunderland to regroup in league 1. With a few, dare I say it, bigger teams than them not looking likely to get out this season the gap could keep on growing. It is more likely to end by us cocking up and getting related than them getting promoted.

That's what always happens !  Not by them doing good ,but us subsiding !

From a BBC article on Sunderland's plight. That other lot from north of the river must be finding it strange that they'd mention the biggest teams in League One for comparison. Must be to make the drop look less painful for those poor Sunderland fans...

How to look a right t-wat in front of your fellow fans.......

Their season was over weeks ago because they can’t compete against giants of the game like Rotherham, Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury. As per usual they didn’t give a shit because our results are the only thing they’re really interested in.

They can laugh about our Premiership ambitions getting put on hold again but at least we’ve got Premiership ambitions. What have they got apart from Pies?

As for ‘Twattgashead’, he’s not the only Sag in history that’s gone off in his pants too soon, it’s a regular thing.

Hilarious, I think the fans of other teams use Rovers in the same breath as other City’s with 2 teams e.g. Notts County, Port Vale, Swindon Supermarine

They are always complaining about not getting national recognition, and here it is their time has come.

Keep everything crossed, they could still go down..!

Highly unlikely, of course... but more possible than making the play offs..!

...and I seem to remember that it was practically impossible in 2014, as Mansfield got of the team coach and realised that nobody had even bothered packing their teams kit..!

Sorry, not even theoretically possible. Even one fixture between the teams on 47-50 points would scupper your theory and I really can’t be bothered to check. Even if there isn’t one you’re talking about 20-odd results ending up exactly right, not just a couple.

Tinpot;

Plymouth Argyle set to complain about Bristol Rovers over pitch issues in the Central League

Part of the pitch was hired out until 2pm, which was only half an hour before the 2.30pm kick-off. It meant the Pilgrims’ players had to wait around for a while with nowhere to warm up.

I know! I wasn’t seriously suggesting that they’d go down..!

Just highlighting that their “play off push” is currently nearer relegation, than the play offs..!

I was in Asda yesterday and saw a 30 something Sag dressed in full kit. I was so tempted to ask him if he was on lunch from McDonalds....but knowing their supporters he would probably have tried to go all Tote End about it so I didn’t bother.

Was up on the Downs last week on a sunny afternoon buying an ice cream by the Sea Walls. Saw a sag with his shirt on looking upstream towards the Suspension Bridge. In the background the Lansdown Stand was glinting in the sunshine. I wondered what his thoughts might be as he stood there on top of the cliff?

Probably “oh look. You can see Trashton from here” just as his mum told him to stop Day dreaming and dribbling Mr Whippy down his chin. To which he probably responded with a punch to her nose and a good feel of her breasts.

Probably thinking,I bet the sheed's wish they had a real football ground like us,quickly followed by a lot of thumb sucking and muttering of obscenities under his breath as he dragged his knuckles along the ground, back to his carer.

Look out for reference to 'these people' a 'Mr Singh' and of course how if there was ever any instances of racism at the Mem.... (which we all know there have been).

They really are a throwback to more bigoted times.

Who the hell is Mr Singh?

Is he some kind of famous local talent spotter in North Bristol?

Yes, don’t you just hate that...

You’re standing there, pointing and laughing at a Saghead, reminding them about how hilarious it is that they dropped out of the entire League....and they suddenly turn into a massive, blue, Swedish furniture store right in front of your eyes.

Bless them. Listen to a Rovers fan is like going for Sunday lunch with a bigoted grandparent, who doesn’t quite get it, but is at least trying..!

Which is kind of ironic, when going to the Mem is kind of like visiting an 80 year old, whose struggling to get themselves out of the 1970’s..!

I hear on good authority the the blue few are moving into the 21st century by stopping taking cash on the turnstiles (yes, cash!) and installing a brand new (well, good condition, low mileage second hand) semi-automatic, turnstile ticket scanning system , so that all of the takings actually goes to the club.

This announced a few months back.

They are very excited about it! Well, not those that sell their season ticket books on and claim a replacement, obviously. They are gutted that the club are taking such massive strides towards the year 2005..!

Anyone follow Michelle Owen from SSN on instagram?

She was covering the Sags game tonight and gave a little insight on behind the scenes on her story, and yes it’s safe to say it’s just as shit as what’s on show, appalling facilities. She had to climb through a SKYLIGHT which had a step ladder attached to it just to get to the gantry! How health and safety haven’t shut that place down yet I’ll never know.

Remember Nick Powell going off injured in the away fixture. Really looking forward to seeing him play tonight along with Will Greig, congratulations to Wigan imo definitely the best team BRFC have faced this season. It is a real shame we cannot compete on the same level as the Atics, although support wise we are already premier league. FTG

Surely he’s not serious. And who is will Greig and who are the Atics .

It’s a small Dutch team dedicated to Anne Frank and her family. Will Greig is there top scorer and has a queue of teams wanting his signature. The likes of Dagenham and Redbridge, York and Barnet :o

Sorry, this might be a massive whooosh moment but did one of them actually claim that ‘support wise’ they are already Premier League after having less than 8k home fans for a League 1 match?

I guess with only 92 English teams to choose from, that was quite an easy choice to make...

In the spirit of co-operation with our neighbours I thought I should share this revenue raising tip thought up by the owner of North Ferriby United.

Quote

North Ferriby United’s owner says he is looking into using the football club’s ground as a travellers’ site to boost revenue.

Jamie Waltham, who bought the club late last year, claims the move could generate £2,461 a week, with the ground cleared for match days.

https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/travellers-site-north-ferriby-ground-1483382

Come on Wael, you know it makes sense.  £125k a year buys a lot of plastic chairs.
