Bristol R*vers dustbin thread

Some of the tweets from the fewers today have been great. All because they have shirt sponsor now, and are getting a BIG screen (probably upgrading to a 40” TV from the 32” that they already own/stole) they are now looking like a ‘real’ club!

Simple things and all that.

Just post a pic of ours in the sports bar that normally shuts them up

Not only have they blatantly copied our PR on the release of their new shirts, but they have opted for the Tesco Carrier Bag look again.

I wonder if they are selling “Value” tracksuit tops to go with it?

DC: We need cash for some new players?

Wally: We need a new pitch. Pitch comes first. LIDL have a sale on. 5 more journeymen going for free in the Charity Bucket.

Hi everyone had a balloon trip yesterday the 18th took of from Ashton Court. Photo of Ashton Gate looking very nice. Then we flew over Horfield and we had a good laught. Three sprinklers on and two men near the goalmouth with their state of the art lanwnmowers. I expect they loaned them from home.

I always use this to end arguments.

1) When the hell did Ipswich offer them £2 million for Taylor?

2) Those Sagheads haven’t got a clue what Mattys wages are. One minute they’re saying he’s on 10k a week, then it’s 12k, then 15k...anything to make themselves feel better about losing their best player to us for peanuts.

Bullshitters.

Should be their official nickname.

It certainly looks more like a white kit with a little blue design than the world famous blue and white quarters we all know and hate.

More Tranmere Rovers than Bristol Rovers.

Bit strong that.

Tranmere are ok.

I thought they were the Horsepunchers, or the Stadium thieves, or the 15ers? @Nogbad the Bad

Yep, all true and well earned, but I also agree with Danny Baker's classic evaluation of the club, and an official nickname of 'The Bullshitters' would suit them down to the ground.

Wow, as usual it's shite, yet no doubt the fewers will be crowing about how 'unique' their shirt is, to everyone outside of their little fantasy bubble the only thing unique about their shirts is that it's guaranteed to be shit every season.

I hope you mean the exact opposite!

That’s a good one.

I also like use the picture of the stand we opened in the summer of 2016 compared to the one they opened in the same summer to really highlight the gap between the two clubs...

I ALMOST feel sorry for them.

Da famous quarters beginning to fade. Maybe the whole club is fading, too? Tis a sign I tell 'ee. League 2 beckons.

They’ll have a kit similar to Leeds in a few seasons time if they keep losing the blue on their shirts.

It’ll be a nice reminder for Dopey Darrell of the time he bottled the chance to go to Elland Road and manage in the Championship, opting instead for some Facebook ‘Likes’ from deluded Sagheads.

I quite like the blending, but it certainly doesn’t work with quarters or the white box for the sponsor.

I’d quite like that blending done properly for a red and quite shirt for us. Done right it would be pretty good I think. Or what about Purple and lime, black and white.

I would pay 5p for a Tesco carrier bag but not that shocking home kit. The yellow kit is just as bad.

I think the yellow kit's ok but you can't really go wrong with block colours.

I agree that the home kit is one of the worst examples of "the famous quarters" that I have seen.

Lost to Bath AND Forest Green in the same day.. at least their new kit looks nice.. OH WAIT :rofl2br::rofl2br:

The ‘mighty’ Gas losing to Bath and Forest Green, not the first time they’ve done that..

Nice reminder of the 2014/15 season.

And Ellis Harrison the shithead is leaving. Such a Tinpot club

Really?

That’ll be interesting if it happens considering they practically wet themselves when we sold Reid for £10million.

Is he? And this day can't get funnier :rofl2br::rofl2br:knowing the sags and their transfer business he'll be gone for about £20k.

If he goes then no doubt Sagheads will pretend they know how much his new club are paying him in wages.

ee wudnt have gone mind...but they were paying im 10 times more than us..”

6th richest club in the country apparently...

Probably ******* whinge for years saying they didn’t have enough time to get anyone else in and they didn’t have any clue that he was going to leave.

Owned and subsidised.

I'm sure our elected leaders have answers....

As a council, they do have a moral duty to help those less fortunate though, people that are struggling to make ends meet and whose homes could be at risk, that kind of thing.

The g*s meet all these criteria easily.

I see they have a small bristol energy sponsor on part of the kit. Why is a council owned company giving my council tax to that lot?

On a serious note. 1982 the Council considered making (the then struggling) City a donation and the gas complained bitterly and informed the Council they either give City nothing or else Rovers must receive the same amount.
