This is what I was told weeks ago along with the other name being banded around everywhere as their sole saviour - probably wants the whole lot on the cheap to build student lets on. The trouble is if Wally wants top dollar it just won't get sold, and he is lumbered with the current 50k per week losses (or whatever it as the moment). If they don't get rid in 12 months they are out of pocket another 3 million? Real chance of relegation this season and their attendances could actually get worse as well, wages will have to be slashed too - if they can't pay Conference wages now who will they attract to play for them? The Al Qadis should cut their losses and run but hopefully they won't... Wally wants to keep a percentage himself as well apparently, so you may end up with a couple of owners who want to spend and one who don't want to spend anything at all - if it goes ahead as planned. If it falls through they could be properly screwed as a club. On 06/10/2018 at 19:28, bert tann said: Poor old Nicholas has got himself in a tight spot again. The Al-Qadi family won't go unless they get the full value of the land which they say is 17 million. But the financial backer says if he pays that much for the site there won't be enough left to build Rovers a new football ground. Our only hope now rests on a bumper olive harvest. I didn't know LJ had to move house because of death threats? Sounds quite strange to me, especially over a bad run of games. Did that actually happen? Matty Taylor definitely had to move house, this was after his address was made public following vile abuse and threats online from foaming Sagheads who were throwing their toys out the pram. I'm sure the hypocritical belters won't mention this or their terrible reputation for racist abuse because they're convinced they're better than everyone else. Mr Popodopolous
From memory, the threats were to Taylor from their fans which meant Taylor had to move house. A very quick Google search reveals a BP article from earlier this year ‘one year on from Matty Taylor signing for City’. In the article it states that LJ DID have to move house at the time because of death threats however it was unclear if the death threats came from City fans upset that we’d lost a few games or Sagheads going mental because we’d very publicly mugged them off by signing their best player for peanuts. Bristol Rob
I think it says a lot about their forum that it was once a thriving one but now seems reduced to the same handful of people largely agreeing with each other, as to have a different point of view on there means you are either on a wind up, or you must be City. And that is why they never challenge anything.

I have seen Rovers in the Championship, Div 1, and 2 and non league, but mostly half way up Division One, or div 3 as it was. I want something better, I want us to have crowds of 20k+ like we did when I was a kid. If we had not have sold Eastville, I have no doubt that we would be the bigger of the 2 Bristol clubs. Based on?? They weren't the bigger Bristol club when they were there, how would it be any different now? They talk some absolute shit. 2

But that is history, and since then every ground we have been at has been crap, and the Mem is no different. I want to be a gashead watching a reasonable team in the Championship, not floundering around in the lower half of league one, because our sh**ty ground can only provide funds enough to do that. Meanwhile even some non league clubs have better grounds. Bloody angry to think some of you have no ambition for the club The bigger of the 2 Bristol clubs !!!! Eastville that's where they were getting crowds of about 5k and only 3k for the last game there and meanwhile MOST non league clubs have better grounds
Unan
Just been looking at our recent results and we've only scored from open play in 1 out of our last 9 league games (the 3 goals vs Coventry). I knew it was bad but when you put it like that, it really is quite shocking.

Bit like Wembley in 1923. I'd feel sorry for the white horse.
Wanderingred
BMF losing 3-0 so sadly there will be no opportunity for them to stuff the sags - This year!

But this is the competition that needs to be boycotted until Under 23 teams are removed, so they should be applauded not mocked for the pitiful turnout. BMF lost 4-0 in the end but had over 500 there. Edited October 9, 2018 by Wanderingred
Guest
New turnstiles probably couldn't cope with the numbers and malfunctioned? I assumed that is what happened since the start of the season.
