One of their players is involved with it or something.

Which reminds me, I must write to Aardman/DC Comics and various other organisations to find out just how much they charge to all their designs to be used.

I assume sock-man isn't trading on the back of someone else's design, hate to see him sued for tens of thousands.....

Great year in the conference, good away days at real football clubs not plastic franchise setups like Bristol Sport. Great day out winning at Wembley. Followed by promotion to L1 so really not upset by that at all. Possibly best thing that could have happened in long run. The gap is one good season for us or one poor season for them, both of which could easily happen ......

It really doesn’t get more tinpot than that does it? “Probably best thing that could’ve happened” ? Funny because I seem to remember them whining like entitled d1cks about some of the grounds they were visiting that season.

As for ‘the gap’, using this Saggies thinking the gap between us and Manchester City is hardly anything at all. In reality, looking at the stadium, our attendances, owners wealth, ambitions and finances ‘the gap’ has never been bigger.

Rovers are literally the only football club on that site.

Presumably they know somehow that Gasheads are the only supporters that would wear something so ******* cringeworthy.

Wowsers!

They are aware that we still operate as Bristol City FC, not Bristol Sport? But i guess checking the upper reaches of the Championship table gives them a nose bleed...

Not so sure how they think that getting relegated to non league is a good thing? Perhaps if they could lost for us how it's been beneficial. I mean we could ask them on Slagchat but we'd get banned as soon as we post the questions, normal run of things for them.

And as for the gap....one bad season for us, eh? How many days is it now? That ain't happening anytime soon, i rather think the gap might grow with a bad season for them on the slide to L2. After all, that's the best thing in the long run, right? Other than administration and going out of existence, which is top prize in my book. Watching them flounder around will do for now, whilst we keep developing both on and off the pitch.

The Gap, The Gap, you'll never get rid of The Gap!

The franchise thing tickles me.

Not sure how the view the franchise model at the Mem, but I think they have gone down this route of believing it to be insulting based on Bristol Sport being the umbrella under which a number of sports are thriving from a shared infrastructure, with majority shareholder SL living in the Channel Islands.

Unlike Dwane Sports, who are, err, based in the Channel Islands and, umm, err, now have the Gas Girls as part of their umbrella. Which sounds remarkably similar to Bristol Sport.

Or have I missed something?

Said it before....only one Bristol club have moved to another City in the past, only one Bristol club have been trying to move out of Bristol again in recent years.

BCFC have never left Bristol.

MK Dons are called ‘franchise’ because, like some NFL teams, they moved to a completely different city.

Using Gasheads logic MK Dons are NOT a ‘franchise’ but Manchester Utd are due to Utds owners financing other sports projects.

The fact is, they don’t know what ‘franchise’ means and, in sporting terms, they are far more of a franchise than we have ever been.

Saw some Sag giving it the biggun about 1990 and then I checked the profile and they were born in 1999.

So I told him that he was too young to remember the 2nd May....but old enough to remember the 3rd.

Is he younger than "The Gap" then, or just a few weeks older..?!

By the end of play that day, we had beaten Wycombe(!) to go above them...never looked back.

The objectors wanted the Memorial Ground listed. It’s interesting to read the reason why this was rejected:

“The decision not to list was based on the lack of survival of the original stand of 1921 and the fact that the replacement stands dating from the late 1930s onwards do not display sufficient levels of innovation in their design or the architectural interest necessary to merit listing”

If the objection was made now I’m sure it would be upheld as the various tent structures are definitely innovative

WTF is this about?

It’s a well known documented fact that all Gasheads are horse punchers and are scum of the earth.

But HOW DARE YOU suggest a few war memorial defacers and Charlton away women and children beaters represent our proud bed sheet hanging fanbase.

Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing

As for 'ashamed of nothing', I'm ashamed that they carry the same city name as us.

As for the 1 bad year thing, is our stadium / team/ training complex etc being replaced by tents then? INFRASTRUCTURE saggies, INFRASTRUCTURE!

"You go to Wembley and you see many finals played with 15,000 or 20,000 fans, but I was lucky that both Bristol clubs were huge, so every time I played there, which was quite a few times at Wembley and the Millennium, we had 50,000 fans behind us."

I presume he means 50,000 in the overall attendance, but even then it wouldn't be 50,000 behind you as 25,000 or so very clearly wouldn't be behind you.

I font know what's worse... Having a club Legend that relegated you, by saving a penalty for your fiercest rivals against you...

Or thinking that 59,000 - 18,000 = 50,000 (not even allowing for neutrals)

I didn’t realise Steve Phillips was so bitter until I saw his Facebook page a little while back. It’s not our fault that Gary Johnson found a player like Basso who was 20 times better than Phillips ever was.

I’ll never forget bumping into Phillips in Reflex on Baldwin St at the time there were rumours flying around about the Sags wanting to sign him, he bitched about how hard done by he was and I asked him “you’re not actually going to sign for Rovers are you?” and he laughed and made face like ‘as IF.

Nowadays he spends all his time kissing their arses. Grubby little individual. ?

My cousin was manager of Reflex for years. Flapper was ejected from here on numerous occasions.  Once for coming to blows with his then girlfriend, eventually just barred him .

Phillips was always a tit - cried when we brought in decent competition rather than embrace it to improve himself like any decent pro would do (after donkey's years of having no real pressure on his place)

A VHS Video recorder that clearly doesn't work, but the old man paid money for it in Dixons in 1994? That's got 50 written all over it....

Based on his pricing, I reckon my folks are worth more in tat than in cash and assets.

It’s funny how he mentions Lambert who apparently credits his goal against us as the reason why he went on to play for England.

Thats the same Ricky Lambert who, after scoring on his debut for his country, thanked everyone from the Beetroot Factory to Southampton Football Club but totally forgot to mention Rovers.

What is it with these ******* idiots pandering to 5000 insecure, fragile nob ends in North Bristol through the Evening Post? ?

Yet more hilarity from Asschat..........

All the Gassholes talking about whether they'd put in some of their own money to 'save' the club.

Gassy Avatar
I’d do it, proving it guaranteed the survival of the club

So would I.
I would hope that the City Council would chip in as well. Rovers is a Bristol institution with a 130+ year history.

Obviously this hypocrite can't remember 1982 when those running the sags, bitched and whinged to Council because they wanted to help BCFC and demanded they receive the same. Neither can he remember when the shower of shite he follows pissed off out of Bristol for 10 years with their glorious 130 year history of achieving F'All.

Typical of that lot. They'd probably cry if they never got anything from them as well.

I'd hope that if that were the case, we would then do exactly what they did and complain unless the council gave us the same.

Simples.

So who would ultimately pay for that then or do the Council have a special piggy bank of cash that they’ve added to over several years from their own pockets....you know, just in case a ‘football club’ who have done NOTHING in 130 years needs a hand?

Scabby little maggots, spend less time focusing on our financial problems from 38 years ago and sort your own finances out.
