I am fairly confident he's never done any work at AG but happy to be proved wrong.

We've worked with the club on many occasions over the past 25 years at least.  Going right back to when Scott Davidson was chairman, we hosted the first BCFC site before it was all taken over by Premium TV in 2000/2001.  Scott who was director at both Clik & BCFC wrote a database system in filemaker that the club used for many years for pretty much running everything that the club did. In fact I recall even in the mid to late 2000's they were still using it then.

In recent years when we hosted the Bristol Sport sites they were using Solsoft for variety of IT requirements. You know, a proper, blue chip type IT Support Company for a football club who's turnover is tens of millions.  Not a random PC shop on the otherside of town who's owner routinely slags off one of his so called clients.

Perhaps he once changed a plug for a client, somewhere in BS3? ?

I honestly thought this was one of us on a wind up, but no once reading this disillusioned sags further posts, he actually believes Wally and SL are in collusion to shut them down.

That’s extreme even on a night like this after the two and a half seasons we have had.
This club will not end or cease to exist that does not happen to football clubs. Can you name one that has completely disappeared.
Whatever happens Bristol Rovers will exist in some shape or form the same as Accrington, Hereford, Wimbledon and many others who were written off and consigned to the football dustbin.
We have got some hard times ahead as if what we’ve had to endure isn’t enough while this club sorts itself out and who knows where that will take us, but Bristol Rovers will be there long after we have gone.

I guess you could argue none of those original clubs still exist but have all been replaced by new phoenix clubs?

What I can't understand is Wael seems to be throwing £m's at the club but we just get progressively worse each season. You can probably count on one hand the number of good performances since we had the new pitch installed. Likewise what's the point in having similar pitches at the Quarters if we don't perform on matchdays at the Mem.

As said on another thread Waels out to ruin us along with Lansdown. You stated Waels £20 million buying off debts as credit to him but £20mill is nothing  to lansdown.
He would be happy to pay that to get rid of us, BRISTOL ROVERS.

Why is the daft Incel shouting “BRISTOL ROVERS”? His paranoid, cretinous ramblings make it pretty obvious which bunch of useless clodhoppers he supports.

Why would SL bother, the way their club is being run it would be the equivalent of putting a hole in a small boat in a hurricane.

The rest of them seem more upset with the TV appearance of Wael of Fortune last night. Most complaining that they have gone from promises of a new ground to being told they should be thankful to the board for keeping the club afloat.

It seems more and more are seeing the emperor's new clothes for what they are.

Love how Wael tries to blame Covid for the absolute state of the Gash before he checks himself and says, “We’ve been through a horrible time…everyone has.”

He seems happy to let Sharton’s reign of chaos continue and that’s fine by us! ?

We all know the Gash are total ****. However, despite this I really don't think they will go down (I know people will be waiting for a punchline).

I obviously do want them to go down and even going out of business would be hilarious. I think this is too much to expect though, so them bouncing around the bottom 5 of the basement and serving up more laughs will do me. There must be so many more gifts coming our way so strap yourselves in, sit back and enjoy.

I do agree with you.

However after starting the season as favourites with nearly every bookie combined with most of their gormless fans (and gormless manager) confidently predicting an instant return to L1 then IF they don’t get promoted that’ll be nearly as funny.

Almost 21 years for anybody who’s interested...key of the door, look at the Gap, all grown up and ready to piss off out into the big wide World.

Seeing them relegated on the final day of the season is boring. Been there, done that. Now, should they be 9 points above relegation, then get docked 10 points for going into administration... that would be fun!

Either that or as a result of a Wycombe Court case. ;)

Especially if they were still in administration at the start of the following season, as the Conference (or whatever it's called these days), don't accept clubs in admin.

On reflection, I was being mean. What I really hope for is a 10 point deduction for a match fixing/betting scandal, followed by relegation. Administration can wait until the following season.

By all accounts; this current team are worse, so who knows ?

We can but dream !

Rovers were only in the relegation zone for 74 minutes of the entire 2014 season. That’s all it takes.

If the moderator there doesn't think that OP libellous - accusing named club officials of complicity in match-fixing - then I don't know what he thinks the term means.

Mind you, he doesn't know the difference between libel and slander, so...

I saw that.

No need to moderate the written thread, unless it becomes slanderous....

Ummm… don’t think he has. He merely states what I assume are facts. Then asks non-leading questions. He’s been very careful not to accuse anyone of doing anything.

Very wise, as any accusation would be straight in a lawyer’s hands and highly likely end up being very expensive indeedy.  Quite clever for a Sag.

Add them all together and the implication is clear. A libel lawyer would have a field day with the implied meaning of those questions. Remember, Lord McAlpine wasn't named in a BBC programme about a prominent Conservative Party paedophile, but still won hundreds of thousands in damages from the corporation because of what the report implied.  Particularly, as only Mangan has had a charge proven against him.

Fair play, this should be a good night. Lots of gruesome looking creatures making bizarre moaning sounds and moving in a shuffling zombie like fashion like they’ve been raised from the grave.

And, apart from the first team attending, I’d imagine there’ll be some kids in fancy dress

Nah, relegated prior to our final game. Imagine the party we could have in Yorkshire. Prior to our winning play off campaign obviously.

I’ll bow to QC’s Red-Robbo’s superior knowledge on this matter your honour.

A different type of legal specialism than I’ve experienced… and as the say, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Would admit, I wouldn’t have made the post on Slagchat given the high risk of at least a legal threat.

My specialism was more akin to legal street fighting with no holds barred!

I did overlook the Bookies favourite for promotion and the prisoner to be (please please please) really believing his own guff talk being equally as bullish. The 21 years actually feels longer than that TBH !

We saw it with DC and BG. GC was given more money on top of the £2.65 DC had spent within the playing budget to keep us up and would have had funds in Jan too. PT was given resources but didn’t bother using it unless his name was Jayden Stockley.

So it comes as no surprise to me that Wael is backing JB for now given that we are still only 3 wins away from knocking on the door of the top 8, we have half the first team out injured, players that would be in the starting line up for sure and with a run of home fixtures to come.

Funds, rovers never had funds and never will, what money is made on player sales ends up in the pockets of people in box 1 always has always will

Had a Rovers supporter in my house the other day cleaning my oven. Nice enough, but totally thick tbh. Said Barton is doing a "root and branch" overhaul of the club and he predicted championship football in 3 years. Still a "big fanbase" blah blah. Totally deluded. At times i had to disappear into another room as i didnt want to get hysterical, but **** me. I asked him if Barton being in Jail would mess up the 3 year plan and he kind of froze, like the Windows blue screen of death. Once he rebooted he shrugged it off and claimed it was probably made up, and if true "he would be inside already". Clearly misunderstanding the law and order process there mate.

Did a good job on the oven mind
