In the same time we've travelled to Oakwell 17 times, It's a new ground to a whole generation of the Blue Few yet we generally visit there most years so the idea of a day out at The Tarn is hardly a novelty to us! For me any fan that travels away on a Tuesday deserves a round of applause as it takes a lot of commitment with time off work, travel cost etc! It does make a difference Exactly 1960 alot of the places they go to when they take 20,000 and above are either new grounds to them or grounds they rarely visit , also unbelievably there club is on the so called up so there’s a feel good factor about the place of course there so called great support is exciting the poor darlings . here’s the difference Portsmouth away to them and there all creaming in there pants , 20 years ago Pompey for us was decent use to enjoy a little chase around the terraced streets , if we had Pompey now wouldn’t be that high on my agenda , not bad but wouldn’t be lording it like the gas are . This "figure" is growing over the years as we all suspected it would. At this rate (growing 3K in 7 years) they will have taken more than the actual attendance in 20 years time! Waaay back in the this thread i looked into this in more detail - My conclusion based on local newspaper reports of ticket sales one week before the final (presumably these figure informed by the clubs) and some investighation into the method of neutral ticket sales made my figure of dribbling lunatics in attendance closer to 32K Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
