ExiledAjax
Well done to them for engaging their fanbase early on in this process. Naturally it is easy to engage a fanbase when it consists of a few hundred people, all of whom belong to a single family. But, to those few lost souls the badge is no doubt a potent symbol. It's right and proper that a club, no matter how small, should undertake this process properly. 1

Over the past few years, we have attempted to make improvements across all areas of the club to modernise, professionalise and, ultimately, drive the club forward. The current crest is also celebrating its own milestone, as it has been in use for 25 years. Lots has changed over that 25-year period, not only for the club, but also in wider society and now feels like the right time to work with you - the supporters - to review this and see if we can make any improvements or changes to better represent the club. We would, therefore, like to start a consultation process to gain some initial feedback on the current badge and gather possible new ideas as to how we represent ourselves as a club moving forward. As part of this process, we are very shortly going to be getting in touch with fans to invite you to take part in a survey and share your views. Once we have collated initial opinions, we may then create a small focus group to discuss ideas and concepts further. Working together, we can redefine what the future of our club looks like. Club News This is brilliant work. Congratulations. I am now the crazy English man sitting on his own in a cafe drinking beer and laughing hysterically to himself. So thanks for that.

Popular Post Midlands Robin
"In the last few minutes of the game, Ipswich scored their 8th goal of the match. A frustrated Joey Barton kicked out at a water bottle but managed to connect with it far more effectively than he'd imagined. The bottle spins up and up and eventually lands on the arm of a spectator. That spectator just so happened to be the Ipswich CEO, Mark Ashton. Unfortunately, Mr Ashton was holding a cup of hot but extremely cheap and nasty tasting coffee. The cup emptied it's contents in to Mr Ashton's groin causing him to yell out and leap into the air. The sudden commotion distracted the Ipswich players and enabled Rover's to score their only goal of the game. This was unfortunate for Ipswich as they eventually missed out on automatic promotion to the championship on goal difference and subsequently lost out in the play offs. Rovers had been relegated much earlier in the season." Extract from "Football - Strange but true stories" published in July 2023. PHILINFRANCE
From the horse's mouth, so to speak. Forget balloon festivals and the like, it is the cold, wet and a possible long walk that deters our Rovers friends, especially the teenagers, from filling out their ground. Firstbus are looking to remove non essential bus services, which could impact on travel times to the Mem and additional costs for users. I cannot guestimate the number of people who either will be unable or unwilling to take much longer and expensive journeys to get to watch Rovers, but if it is cold and wet and the only other option is by foot, or taxi, it may put off a lot of teenagers, who we need to grow the support of the club. Poor teenagers. When I was a teenager, I wellremember walking to Ashton Gate on Saturdays after school, rain or shine, down Jacobs Wells Hill, along Hotwells Road etc.
