Saggy makes a very valid point (probably banned now!!)

If you're at a festival, temporary event/attraction, portaloo's are forgivable (although I went to the Circus on the downs about 10 years ago and even they had decent portable/mobile loo's!)

At a full time, permanent "sporting venue" though, it's embarrassing. We all know what these loo's are like after the first dozen or so have gone in, and I imagine for a young girl who is probably/possibly very self conscious, and probably needs a bit more than 4 walls and a hole, it's probably very off putting. My wife, even now, will not use a portaloo unless she really has to, and she's 36!

How many does the Thatchers Stand hold these days? 33 left sounds impressive, but it's difficult to know without know the full figure.

Basically lying anyway. If you see the below, they’d said “sold out” and then an existing ST holder confirmed two hours later he was able to renew. as his place in the Thatchers End was held back.

So, their sold out is predicated on everyone who had a ST renewing, even though they clearly haven’t as yet and a fair proportion of those holders will be:

- Dead

- Moved away

- Recovered from full frontal lobotomies

- Disillusioned with Joey the thug and the horrendous home form

- Unable to renew due to cost of living

- Intending to shag their sisters on Saturdays instead

Lying. “It’s what they do”…

Not really.

How many STs did we sell this season? Say 13k for arguments sake. From what I gather it would be like City posting on Twitter that we’ve sold 13k STs for next season already based on the assumption that everyone who has an ST this season will definitely renew.

That’s my understanding from what’s been posted.

They’ve also got a reduced capacity.

For a club who’s fans bang on endlessly about how supposedly loyal their support is compared to us it and how loved they are by all who encounter them it always amazes me how they struggle to sell 5k STs each season or fill their tiny stadium more than once or twice a year.

Didn't they reduce capacity to save money on the rules when stadiums, (I use the term loosely), opened up again after COVID ? Wasn't there more cost put on grounds over 10k capacity.
Then what encouragement is there to spend and open up more of the ground when they rarely fill what they have ?

I think they allow for a % of that stand they are pushing to be held for PotD punters so not a sell out but near a limit ?

Also they are so "loyal and true" they brought in a system just to stop fans sharing a paper ticket by passing it back to a mate, or letting Dodgy Dave on the turnstyle to wave people through. Doesn't scream love of the club to me.

Umm, haven't we just done something similar?

Subtle difference.
You could not use/scan a Season Card several times for the same game, you could if you just have to show it to some bloke on a turnstyle pressing a pedal.

Agree.

Not a bad effort from them to promote one of the most unmarketable products in the Universe.

Now then ‘Fever Pitch’, let’s see how good we are. Perhaps start with the packaging - the shirts - and then the substance ..the facilities, team etc.

The term "gas head" is offensive but they seem to accept it as their own, maybe she is "prowed" to be a slapper?

Talking of old slapper, if this one doesn't convince you to buy a season ticket I'm not sure anyone will...

So they do an ‘All Out’ marketing campaign in order to shift 33 season tickets?! **** me! That takes begging and desperation to a totally different stratosphere!!!!

Thanks anyway Sags for providing me with the opportunity to completely bastardise another one of your pathetic video horror shows.

Wayne Rooney is hardly a massive intellect, but compare his classy, gracious reaction to Kane's milestone with Barton's idiocy.

He is He's one of the most unprofessional people I've ever came across, disgraceful really, hilarious though.

It will be even funnier, when he finally does something on Twitter so unprofessional that it seriously harms the credibility of Da Gas, and he almost inevitably will, to see their hordes performing the latest 180 degree turn and telling us that they knew he was a "bad 'un" and should never have been appointed in the first place.....................

Barton slagging off Kane is something else.

I'd love it if Kane went into management in 6/7 years and Joey wants to loan a player from him :laughcont:

To be fair he's just trying to keep himself relevant now his court case is over, and the club he's "managing" is so irrelevant on every level.

Also fairly sure he's going to start saying stuff deliberately trying to force Wally to sack him. Thing is, Wally can't afford to sack you, and he's too stupid to realise what's happening, so you'll be there for a while Joey....

There is probably a medical term that describes this sort of behaviour where he criticises Harry K.

It is where they are trying to make themselves look better than they are in comparison by having a pop at someone else.

My ex boss used to do the same, he would belittle good people in front of others, a type of bullying. The people who do this are not self aware and their behaviour discourages loyalty and high performance. Note the comments about their best striker recently.

Oh that ship has sailed.

Everytime he opens his gob he gets widely ridiculed and so do the Gas for employing him. The damage he’s already done to their reputation is hilarious, nobody has any respect for them.

The Gasheads who insist on defending ‘daddy’ online whenever he’s getting shit for his latest disrespectful comment aimed at better teams and managers are doing their bit to help.

Cretins from top to bottom at that club.

He’s a narcissist.

Nearly every Gashead I know is a narcissist.

He is a perfect fit for that club, most of them think that’s a GOOD thing. ?

That tweet he's quoting is such a lie.

Kane has scored 4 goals v Germany and 3 against France, and now 2 v Italy (table below is from before Italy game). So simply looking at that shows you how twisted that tweet is. But of course jailbird can't do his own thinking and verification.

The bloke is a complete and utter idiot. Like he's an authority on the matter. I believe his International career was all of 20 minutes and before anybody says that doesn't matter, he does like to drop into interviews about his [42 year old] 92 cap International midfielder

He's a multi-millionaire too, don't think he's mentioned that yet.

What the **** is he on about? Amazing where it can lead us….from the sack at Fleetwood at the bottom of league one, to the bottom of league one at another club?

Just think of how much of a bellend he was as a player, then take a good look at him now after he has made himself better every day since.... oh wait.....

It is good advice to be fair..to an extent.

The other (better) piece of advice, is just be better than Joey Barton. It's not hard to do.

Has he looked at their goal records? Kane is well ahead of all three of these, plus Owen, in terms of total goals, mins/goal, and goals/game for England.

He's also, in domestic first tier competitions (ie the First Division, PL,  La Liga and MLS, but let's ignore the J League) ahead of all four of Lineker, Shearer, Owen and Rooney in terms of mins/goal and goals/game. He's behind Rooney (-25) and Shearer (-79) in terms of total goals, but they've both finished their careers, and Kane is certain to pass Rooney and fairly likely to pass Shearer.

His goal record is the best of all those mentioned. So it's pretty clear who the best "marksman" is.

See their favourite reporter is biting again at comments Steve Evans made today about what a disgrace it was that Scunthorpe fielded a weakened side against them.

Strange old world when Steve Evans is the one who is calling out dodgy stuff..

To be fair to him, he is just trying to help somebody to try and better themselves.

Regardless of what you think of him, and what he has done, or not done, he is a role model to some, and should his words/advice help just a few then, Well, I think that is a good thing.

Empty words, absolute jargon, the type of thing people with surface level knowledge say as they don’t understand the substance. If it helps then yeah I guess that’s good, but anyone that can think deeper than catchphrases.. it’s ridiculous.

I'd have nothing against those words being said by multiple people in football, but if he is a role model then something has gone terribly wrong. It isn't like he was a bad apple 20 years ago, and then changed and became an excellent person. You just have to listen to his narcissistic interviews. I wonder how many young players he has helped better themselves after throwing them under the bus in a interview (players from the club he manages as well).

I was wodering what an AI chatbot could tell me about their supporters and this is what it said:

There have been incidents of violence involving Bristol Rovers fans in the past. In 2017, a woman was seen “punching a police horse” during a fight outside a pub following Bristol Rovers’ 1-0 defeat to Oxford1. In 2022, a man was found guilty of punching a police horse during a football game at Bristol Magistrates Court and has now received a football banning order for three years and over £1,000 in fines2.

Is there anything else you would like me to find?

Philosopher Daniel Dennett introduced the word deepity to describe sayings that sound profound but are actually trivial or meaningless.

You'd think Barton, a renowned philosopher himself, would know Dennett's work.?
