So, as far as I can make out, they've done an "artists impression" of their new permanent structure but no detailed drawings. They haven’t submitted it to the council for planning approval. Presumably, therefore they also haven’t consulted the residents immediately behind this proposed structure for comment & how it could impact them.

They plan to open it in August 23 ready for the new season and are actively selling season tickets to their lemmings for it.

I hope there's a sag out there who can read this, they'll then understand why we laugh at them so much.

Unbelievably tinpot.

Big ask

If it’s supposed to be a proper permanent structure , why isn’t there any piling rigs . No foundations at all . It’s going to be one of those bolt together stands they’ve got at AEK Boco

I'm no builder.

The fewers are going on about Piling Mats - are they the same thing or something for a temporary construction?

It doesn't look, well, busy exactly. One man with a giant allen key. Maybe there is a hold up somewhere delaying work.

They seem to think they’re gonna announce 3/4 signings in one go…think they’ll need to at this rate. Fair play if they do!

I see where you're getting confused.  You've assumed 3/4 means 3 or 4.  In actual fact they're bringing Ex PSG & Bradford player Bruno Rodriguez out of retirement.  Having had his right leg amputated he is now three quarters of a footballer......

(Yes I realise that humour is dark....!)

No, Piling mats are put down so heavy machinery can operate on stable ground

£300K is a "very large" fee for the sags. That's larger than a Tilson. So that will be multiple bags of 50p coins, fivers, 10p coins, several postal orders, raiding Bert the disabled gate man's hi vis for half a dozen fivers he's pocketed plus a nice watch all in several Sainsburys bags. Yes indeed, £300K is a very large fee.

Its about time the CEO told the EFL to do one, we predominantly get an away draw to start the season, because its a tad difficult for City to organise policing for the Balloon fiesta. Who gives a flying crap? Its not our problem. Being away most seasons means we statistically have less chance of a win, which in turn affects a number of following games if we lose. Then to cap it all off, we are also away on NYD and the last day of the season.

Talk about getting your excuses in early!

Because a complex series of fixtures is completely decided by some League One CEO....

As for the flying crap and who gives one; evidently that poster does!

Maybe if they stopped punching horses the police would be more open to the idea of both sides playing at home on the same day.

Sure, we dictate to the police what they should do, not vice versa.

Is there any subject they are not ignorant of?

This 'stand' must be like the one at Blackpool (ie temporary) as nobody can build and fit out a permanent stand in 6 weeks and get it certified as well.

**** me. This self entitled *** thinks they should be playing Scunthorpe under-17s at home every ******* week so they can have a chance of winning.

Puts the boot in on the 23k that follow them away by saying that they might as well surrender before a ball is even kicked.

So ... fixture release breakfast was ok.

TG happy with Pompey and Barnsley up first.

Two possibly three in by Monday as mentioned above... Was very clear that Club are aiming for a top six finish and will be recruiting players that will have the ability to get us there. WAQ is fully supporting financially. He has seen the quality of what has been signed elsewhere we were not in for any of them.

Apologies from me to Eddy Jennings - Even on the morning of his wedding he was trying to tie up a new deal and gave himself the challenge of getting the player over the line on his wedding day.

Everything on course for the new stand - We should not believe what we read in the media as all things are progressing well.

Everything felt a little rushed today but TG was coolest man in the room - we are in very good hands.

Also learnt today from an attendee that our highest paid player as things stand is Big JM - by some distance as well. Made me think even more that AC will need parity or will almost certainly move on as his salary was far lower.

A few highlighted bits here. Let's see how things unfold then shall we?

Why do they just lap it up continuously without question?

******* braindeads the lot of them.

I thought The Lansdown was built pretty sharpish but this is a new high in how to erect a stand quite quickly ?

Would that be apart from last season, when they started at home to Forest Green?

Great start they made then, losing at home to the side who finished up miles adrift at the bottom.

Is Wael also fully supportive of paying for a new South Stand or does he want to take out a high interest loan to pay for it??

Why does this "Hugely Wealthy Chairman" have to be stopped by Barton from spending too much money on players?. Whilst at the same time expecting someone else to build a new stadium for the club, other than the current owners?

I just don't get it that no-one actually challenges this rhetoric that he's some sort of financial saviour.

They pay peanuts in wages, never go above 200k in transfer fees, no academy, and a stadium that is literally falling down.

Yet every season the 12 free transfers, and magical loans ,(Quansah described as future England material, if only he could cut out the mistakes...?) will hopefully take them into the playoffs

It really doesn't all add up does it?

A few people did attempt to challenge the rhetoric.

If you look carefully at the photograph you can still see strands of greying hair poking out from under the piling mats.

Well, if that isn't convenient...

So either all of the other clubs are signing players in an attempt to get relegated to League 2, or probably closer the the truth is that these players have league experience and come with a price tag higher than a Tilson which is why Rovers weren’t in for any of them.

Rovers are planning on storming the top 6 through loaning youngsters with little to no experience and Wally’s full financial backing will cover the £250 quid a week wages.

Yep, they’re in such good hands alright.

Cloud cuckoo land.

They’ll probably sign a 38 year old who’s knees have gone and unveil as their marquee signing.

God knows who they are looking at. But judging by the fact that resigned 4 players. One of who was out all season, another who came in Jan (after injuries, and no-one else was interested). Greenslade hardly made made an impression at a team that finished rock bottom of the conference South. Ryan Jones is another youngster they got from WSM.

It's the equivalent of us including all the under 18s and under 21s that have new contracts as new signings for us alongside Dickie, McCrorie and Roberts. Hardly representative of first team squad development.

Have the gas actually got grass on their pitch yet, or is it still sand? Their website still shows the first team squad as consisting of all their loan players from last season, as well as players like Coutts (shown as their captain) and Anderson. It really is beyond comprehension.
