But you asked a load of hypotheticals yourself earlier, you asked what if it was a scammer who caused heartbreak (what was the scam, how much, who was the victim), extra punishment for assaults on men (what are the assaults you talk of), you asked about certain age groups (what age groups), you asked about drink drivers and drug users (what were the circumstances)?

A lot of hypotheticals as you never gave any actual examples, but you expected people to answer them, yet refuse to answer any you get asked?

Where did I expect people to answer them?

You just ended this post with a question mark which to me (bizarrely) it looks like the question mark is asking a question.

I also thought (bizarrely) with all of the question marks in your post the other day that you would expect your questions to be answered, you know, because you were actually asking a load of questions.

I never knew my English was bad enough to see a question mark, but the person who used it wasn't actually asking a question.

Okay, here's a question for you. Do you know what rhetorical means?

On topic…..3rd pre season game for them tomorrow and they’re just a small 8 players away from R Joe’s magic 12 that he decided he needed. To help them finish mid table, get bored, realise they have no budget to go again and then start applying around for jobs.

We both know how this ends.

August supermarket sweep where they sign 5 players on a season long loan from Prem clubs.

One of them moves on in January to a team with a realistic chance of the playoffs, one does well for them, the other 3 are meh.

The Post writes an article saying the one who moved on wasn’t that good (complete opposite of what they said in previous months), Barton claims referees are against them & he gets a touchline ban for threatening a match official.

They finish 14th, above Cheltenham & Fleetwood but below Lincoln, Barton says he’s the best manager in the league.

??? if it’s rhetorical it doesn’t need a question mark as it doesn’t require a answer

We clearly had different English teachers, I have never heard of a rhetorical question not requiring a question mark. A quick Google check suggests they do. If, however, we have any experts in the subject on here who can confirm that one way or the other,I am more than happy to apologise for my ignorance :)

You don't need to apologise for being ignorant.

You already suffer your fate from that curse as a result of the team ot has set you up with ?

Why would you need a question mark for a statement which a rhetorical question is . According to Brittanica dictionary anyway .

Is that a question?

When you were doing everything possible to stick up for your clubs lack of morals, you asked loads of questions to try and deflect away from the absolute shit show that your owner and Manager have happily created. I therefore mistakenly (iyo) thought you were asking actual questions because they seemed genuine.

I replied to your post at the time, even mentioning the load of questions you asked. You never replied saying your questions were rhetorical which would've been quite simple to do, then again you never replied as my post made yours look extremely stupid.

I signed it off with the following which sums it up quite nicely if I do say so myself:

Family club my arse. The last couple of seasons will have you down as one of the most despised clubs in the UK.

Your club deserves Barton and Barton deserves your club.

Funny thing memory.

Not to long ago they used to do raffles for the shirt sponsorship. £1k to enter, who do they draw - yup company one of the directors owned.

Good for them having a progressive owner and experienced CEO who evolving the club into prison fc.

Not always that way....we did have the joyous moment where the Sportman Pub won it and they were essentially a pub team at that time!

Either or is fine.  There are several different sources that tend to concur....

However....the bottom question asked below was a strange one....Having been married for 17 years I tend to find most rhetorical questions begin with them! ?

Thought he was going to include a "most fans locked out of the ground " section, to give them some hope.

He could have finished the video with "mind the gap".

I guess our Runner-up to Newcastle in Division 1 didn't count then?

I would've like to have seen points given for runner up in the lower divisions also, as promotion for either club isn't to be sniffed at?

Some parity along the lines of City being the club with most Football League trophy appearances would've been fair.........but as you say, all about saving face for the gash!!

I actually think that we ought to embrace 1982 to the extent of having it as a second date on the club badge.

I wasn't old enough to really appreciate it at the time but the huge amount of work and cash put in by the rescue team and the supporters plus the actions of the Ashton Gate Eight should be celebrated IMO as 1982 was the year when the club could have died but through the actions of several incredibly hard working individuals, eight players ripping up their contracts, and many thousands of fans reaching into their pockets to buy shares and make donations it survived and has become the biggest and best club in the South West when it could so easily have folded.

Thank you all the people who in 1982 contributed to the rebirth of our club.

Whilst I still question the number they had at Wembley that day, let's not sink to their level and use non facts

Grimsby fans were on the three tiers on the side of the pitch

Rovers had both ends, this end in your picture is the section that should have been used by Grimsby - the other end was full

Rovers only had the lower section as extra that day if anyone knows what sections hold

They definitely didn't have both ends. Only remember this as there was a bloke in a City shirt behind the goal in amongst the Grimsby fans.

My memory may be fallible but I am confident that Grimsby had the other end and were not on the side.

No club would be allowed to have “both ends” in a play off final, where penalties are a possibility.

(just as it turned out).

The total for each tier is;

Lower 34,303

Middle 16,532

Upper 39,165

My recollection is that the Convicts had just over 29,000 tickets sold.

You need to delete this mate. Otherwise, the Blue Few will take it as fact, even those who were at Wembley and witnessed Grimsby fans behind the other goal with their own eyes and even those who look at the video evidence on this thread and dismiss it as some deep fake by them gurt teds

Would of been fairer to compare Bristol Manor Farm with the gas.

This was the Rovers end. About 15,000 Gasheads came dressed as red seats for some reason?

As others have pointed out, Grimsby had the other end.

As is so often the case, Rovers kept the information about how many actual tickets they sold for a Final close to their chest preferring instead to allow the vivid imagination of their supporters decide the final amount.
In reality a couple of days before the final they had sold between 24k and 25k with over 42k tickets sold at that point.

It’s highly unlikely that no Grimsby fans bought tickets in those last couple of days so in reality they didn’t reach 30k and certainly nowhere near the 40k that many of their idiotic fans and management claim.

Judging by the empty seats in the top tier, 27k would be my guess.

I thought it was about 27k gas 14/15k Grimsby and the rest was given away and corporate! If I remember correctly!
