Just thinking that the next time Barton is in Crown Court for another crime (which is inevitable), would it go something like this....

Mr Jospeh Barton, do you swear to tell the truth, and nothing nothing but the whole truth?

Yes your honour.....as long as the prosecuting team, the judge and the members of the jury agree to pay a £5.99 monthly subscription fee.

My memories on Fb from this day in 2012 show we played them and beat them 3-0, however the interesting thing is the comment I made that they had their stadium approved before us, so I assume that's referring to the UWE?

Wow we even beat them when we were utter gash

All the Gash Heads up in arms because on the sleeves of their new home kit will be printed the words… BRISTOL CITY ?

I noticed before the strange cross patterns on those shirts. Are they the assembly instructions for the new stand?

As for the words 'Bristol City....' appearing on their shirts, personally I would rather they didn't!!

This is delicious. Another Gorringe fxuk up, to add to the ever growing list.

Are they seriously going to trot about all season with "Bristol City" on the sleeves of their shirts? ??

It's up there with the raffle that saw them sponsored by a pub.

But don’t forget mate….in his words, Rovers are ‘real, and ‘authentic’ and we aren’t ?????

Obviously Holloway is a pantomime villain who we all love to hate, but their advert for the new away kit is excellent. The kit is pretty nice too.

Fair play to them.

I especially like the collar. ?

...and then this. A limited run of 250!? Be innovative, be bold, stick it on all of them.

Serious question. Producing a version for blind people and then charging them a fiver extra for the shirt, isn't that a clear and obvious breach of the equalities act?

It's a wonderful gesture to bring attention to this cause but to be clear while there is no obligation for a replica shirt to cater to the visually impaired, once you've done so charging extra for access to it would seem to be in breach of Sections 15, 19 and no doubt others in the Equalities Act (2010).

It would be very sad if this PR backfires.

I don't think they really go a lot on checking "rules and regulations" tbf.

I met him at a social event once and he was relaxed, humorous, self-depreciating, friendly.  We bantered over a beer, but there was no real dislike. When you live in the Bristol area, you end up with Gas mates, Gas workmates, sometimes Gas relatives. You can joke about it and take the piss, but ultimately, they are just fans of another team: some are nice people, some are utter throbbers - the same mixture as our own fanbase.

It's the club I can't stand - not its supporters, deluded though many of them are.

He's in the past been quite vocal of his hatred for 'da shit" in the press so when my mate bought him a pint of half cider & half piss it was no surprise that the true gashead drank half of it before realising what was the added ingredient. No love lost from me or my mate come to think of it!!!

Very good point. It's probably being thought of as more of a "limited edition" and being charged at £5 more on that basis, however you raise a very good point - would only take 1 blind/visually impaired person to raise an issue.

I think that comes under the "showing off with his little mates" category. When I met him, he was at his brother-in-law's birthday.

Few hours back from doing a couple of games in Dublin. Shamrock Rovers are well into building their latest stand behind the goal, going to hold around 3k. Permanent structure not pack up and move. Ground capacity bigger than the 6th richest club in England. Oh and Shamrock had planning before they started. ??

Might be wrong but it looks as though the 1st few rows are not under the roof?

Apart from that, very smart. Also smart getting it planned first.

They play in Tallaght quite a long way out of town, i watched them when they played in Galway a couple of years ago, their fans invaded the pitch when they scored a late winner letting off loads of pyros !!!

Of course, that's why their fans call it the Dead End.

I believe they named it in recognition of your club's future prospects.

OK, I admit there is a problem.

Yesterday the new majority owner of Dwane Sports Ltd was inspecting progress at the south end of the ground when the investment inexplicably slipped out of his back pocket and fell into one of the piling holes. Despite strenuous efforts made by our team of retired maintenance staff the investment has yet to be recovered and concerns are mounting that at such depths it could have completely imploded.

Are you going to sell the coal that has been removed by the piling rigs?

Energy prices will start to rise soon.

If you honestly think this bloke was being serious you need to have a look at yourselves. He was quite clearly having a laugh.

I don't think it really matters. He still made himself look an absolute (now well publicised) bell end...
