That's the same stand that a few days ago they were saying was not that much different to what was there before so planning consent should be a given?????

He’s never done it in Championship, there’s levels to this game and he ain’t up to it.

That's what surprises me about them. At league one level, goal machine. Beyond that, questionable.

Same as Tomlin.

12 or 24 month deal, help you get promoted and you can understand it, but at just about every level outside the Prem, you only pay a transfer fee if you think you might get some of it back.

They’re probably just a bit confused that it’s not flapping in the wind.

Jack hunt was the main positive today. For his debut first half especially he was outstanding. The best attacking display we've seen from a full back in years. Was creating so much space for himself and thomas in that first half. He put in some brilliant balls for our non existent strikers. Really excited to see how he develops with Thomas down that wing.

Why does he always describe teams theyve just lost to as ‘not the best team’, or criticize the way that team may have played, almost as if theyre Man City and teams dont have the right to come to the shithole and play a tactic to win the game?!

Blokes a bloody cretin and i cant believe the gash fans fall for it.

On another note, theyre surely putting their finances under pressure this season with all these signings and some relative ‘names’ for that standard?

And dont forget the 40,000 locked outside having to live in Nailsea instead. ??

From a psychological perspective, blaming others is more common in those who experience negative feelings and are unable to regulate their emotions. Based on Barton’s history of verbal and physical violence, he is definitely unable to regulate his emotions. He would make a wonderful case study

Apparently you can have a new stand, or championship ready sprinklers, but you can’t have both.?

That's because the bloke who laid the championship ready tarmac (left over from a job down the road) also fixed the leccie

As a posset resident all my life the guy you refer to has a very questionable reputation and rumours abound about him most not very nice at all. The split is probably 80:20 city to rovers nowadays and loads of kids about with city kits and the occasional Tesco rag spotted. Numerous city players have lived in Portishead over the years im sure the club or someone connected owns a number of houses in the village quarter and marina as there seem to be a succession of players at a number of those properties

There are only two types of defeat - the one by the "inferior" team who have perfected the dark arts, using very basic tactics that don't represent real football and, when the Steel Shackers get absolutely battered beyond argument, the one where the Few couldn't possibly go toe to toe with a club having the luxury of such massive resources.

Some people cannot stop talking........long after they say what needed to be said. Everything with these types of people is ultimately about self-affirmation to overcome insecurity - it's a case of either compliment yourself or point out the failings of others to take the heat off. In Joseph's case it's fairly clear he's had lots of counselling. Add in the fact that he comes across in interview as a "bit" of a shithouse and it's a mix that is very likely to be his downfall in due course. My gut feel is he'll end up lashing out at the wrong person.

Right up there with Chesham.

It was great listening to the Wycombe commentary yesterday. They spent the entire first half pointing out everything at Rovers that was completely Tinpot.

Haven’t laughed so much since the Villa groundhoppers did the same whilst also pointing out just how obsessed they are with City.

It was interesting that the more Rovers fans got frustrated with the game yesterday the more aggressive they became with their ‘Sheeed’ead’ chants, resorting to throwing bottles and coins like Neanderthal goons.

You just knew that Joe Low scoring would trigger the **** out of them. Set the mood for the rest of the day. Now Joey is a Charlatan, Collins is shit, they need loads more players and they’re not going to be able to show their faces to gleeful Shitheads for a few days because of the humiliation of it all.

Win next week though, coupled with a defeat for City and they’ll be coming for us big time, singing the blues and all arrogant shitheads can **** off. ?

Just watched the highlights and fair play to joe Low when he scores he’s just about to wheel off and celebrate and then has a rethink and heads straight towards the blackthorn end and gives it to em big time . Also when he clears one close to the line near the end celebrates it like it’s a goal again right in front of the masked ranks ( ???) of the blackthorn end.

on another note after what old joey said about the ref not being fit he is a bit of a porker mind - oh well

Barcelona 1 little old Wycombe 2

I just saw this exchange on their forum regarding the stand. They really don't like a debate do they?

A perfectly summary from someone trying to get them to understand the legitimate concerns the locals have, with the response that they are just trying to "gaslight" them.

They are just genuinely very thick on there. It’s like a bad car crash. I know I shouldn’t look but I’m just intrigued. Some of the stuff they really debate or believe is incredible. They do truly think it’s the Green Party who’ve stopped the whole stand rebuild process. Beggars belief!

**** me. Case, point. They were pushing top 2 when they signed Hunt last week. Now suddenly they need a final 104th signing of the window or else they’re doomed ??

Just had a (very) quick look on their "forum" re their new meccano stand.

They're all on the bandwagon, with a couple of notable exceptions, against the Green party. Its all their fault apparently :laughcont:

They'll believe any scraps their tinpot little club throws at them, totally deluded, totally devoid of any understanding of the planning process, and totally blinkered when someone actually points out that maybe the club had something to do with the incompetent way it has been handled.

I can't believe that the vast majority of the people on that forum are so stupid.

Mind you, I have acquaintances who support them and they are completely normal - until the subject of their club comes up and they revert to forgetting they have a brain. Pointless talking to them about football, it always ends the same way.

Marvellous stuff, long may it continue.

The stuff regarding the Greens is weird, they seem convinced of the idea that you can either be a football fan or Green, but not both.  The Greens that are posting on there, are making the point that it's the way they have gone about things, rather than the final result that is the issue, but they are being dismissed of course. This despite one quoting Gorringe in their programme admitting that they have got things wrong in the process.

The point made there about them being shit at strategy is spot on.

There are now more Green Councillors in Bristol than Labour ones, once the current Mayoral system ends in May so does the Rees’ veto which has stopped significant decisions (like the infamous Arena one) being made by a majority vote.

There are “all in” (every ward) elections for all Councillors at the very same time, May ‘24.

Anyone who looks at this stuff in detail & thinks the Greens won’t be the biggest party in Bristol after that date is in a very small minority.

Basically therefore they are banking on a couple of major Labour Party figures who are also Rovers ST holders to see them right, but as has already been pointed out these people won’t be in post in less than 9 months time now.

And would probably get paid a lot to be binned. But why would we want him to go? Not developing any of their own youngsters to sell on, signing older players on what I would assume big contracts but the club let him get away with so much I doubt they'll let him go even if he loses 20 games in a row.

I think the “strategy” they are running with DEMANDS promotion this season. Failure will result in several loans going back, older players on half decent money seeing out their contracts and a lot of money spent by their standards. It’s a high risk way of doing things. You can’t bring in 12-15 players every season and build a football club imo.

That’s literally their only strategy for the foreseeable. Done it every season for as long as anyone can remember. This season it’s even heavier on that with even more expensive loans, and even more expensive 1 or 2 year deals on ancient players who they think are brilliant, but will be in for a cold dark winter if they’re forced to play 3 games a week consistently.

Compounded by their brilliant owner earlier in the year saying there’s no point having an academy as the cost of it doesn’t warrant it….brilliant.

………..and if they did get up with us there is the small matter of the cost to be competitive at the same time as the FFFP rules being tougher. You can’t just spend your way out of our league, sweet shop style, like they are doing currently, unless you have parachute payments or shit loads of income coming in (aka Leicester City). Decent Championship players cost more than £2k per week unless they are Academy players on the upward trajectory. It does smack of short termism and we’ll deal with the shit show when we get there.

There was a scummy Gas c*** from Birkenhead,

Who managed a club with fans easily led,

Every Saturday defeat was always the same,

Unfit referees or malevolent sprinklers to blame,

Now the Gash are universally hated so it’s good to be a Sheed’ead. :)

Building 5 a side team , 5 on loan shows how good their set up is , no youth of their own to bring in and 5 players who leave end of season -start again , same every year , Jack hunt  Wilson  rejects now they want JCH who left 4 years ago surely they mean JCB to finish the stand
