5 limit in match day squad. We have 6 loans. Max you can have is 8, 4 from one club. We had 5 earlier in the season but the two midfielders went back to respective clubs, one of which has now gone to Exeter on loan. We now have a goalkeeper, two CBs, two midfielders and a LB/LW on loan. Main difference is we now have an extra CB on loanย

Dunno how many loanees they have, but the max is 5 last time I checked.

They had about 7 every season under the convicted little thug.

I guess some computer sorcery going on here. I would be a bit miffed to see my head on someone elses arms and legs, but a lot more upset to see myself photo shopped into that kit.

This is the funniest story I've heard on TDD for years; trying to poach a player from a higher division who only left Plymouth to seek a move to an established Championship club, or would he rather guide the gas safely clear of relegation to finish in a lofty 10th place in the league below and underbidding a higher placed bigger club in negotiations, classic Gaschat click bait by the new owner to say he had a big go in the window...

Itโ€™s because the club themselves know just how mentally fragile their own fans are. They know that JM spent several years at City but if they donโ€™t say it out loud then โ€˜it never happenedโ€™.

We thought getting Jack Hunt to delete City pictures on Instagram was a joke. In reality it was so Gasheads wouldnโ€™t shit their pants in rage every time he touched the ball.ย ๐Ÿคฃ

God help him if they ever find out that he didnโ€™t actually delete them.

The sheer unprofessionalism of not mentioning that he played for City is ridiculous, but just look at that first line for more amateur hour idiocy.

"Bristol Rovers F.C is delighted to confirm the full compliment....

ย

It's either "FC" or "F.C.". It isn't "F.C"

A "compliment" is saying something nice about someone, what they mean is "complement".

If you're going to use a long word then use the right one.

I don't think it it fair to our ex players/failed coaches to call the Sags such names as "the city dustbin", "City reject central", "City Bide-a-Wee Rest Home" etc... Perhaps a better title would be "Bristol Rovers, The Bristol City FC Former employees pension top-up programme Association Football Club" - a long title for those long in the tooth(or denture)!

It does seem bizarre to go into the rest of the season with more loan players than you can actually use.

Still apparently their fans were celebrating having a goalkeeper today who is their own player.

Weird lot.

Fair play, you crack one off about finally playing a player you produced twice & him then keeping a clean sheet against the mighty Exeter.

Definitely โ€œcoming for usโ€.

Its so petty. Its this type of small minded airbrushing of history which holds them back big time. Why not acknowledge that whilst at Bristol City he was an experienced player and coach at Championship level to show his experience and credibility. Not like them to make things up or fabricate the truth is it.

The latest example of โ€˜gas logicโ€™ and obscure stats. A dangerous mix.

Apparently according to this โ€˜club legendโ€™ you can measure good, better best by the biggest lowest attendance. Yes thatโ€™s correct. The biggest lowest attendance!
So, whilst referencing a nickname that in their heads means we are a 44 year old club, then goes on to show they are much better than us on โ€˜biggest lowest attendanceโ€™ for large swathes of a time that we apparently didnโ€™t exist. However when we did exist then it would seem that we even beat them on this remarkable stat. I think the last straw may have been clutched.

Bcfc1982ltd sports dept. Have only had 1 season that bettered our 1954 best lowest gate.
Our 8078 lowest gate season was also better than 22 of 'their' seasons since 1961.
To be fair i have to admit their lowest gate figures since 2016 have been pretty good.

Try and gloss it anyway they like, but boasting that a crowd they had 70 years ago is better than some of our seasons' averages since is total ****. English football attendances everywhere peaked in the 15 years after WW2 then mainly declined for the next 30 years, before mounting a comeback in the 90s onwards.ย

The sad fact for the Blue Few is our average attendance is now two-and-a-half time theirs - and we aren't even enjoying a particularly exciting season.ย

If theyโ€™re going to start comparing attendance stats then the ones that really matter is that Rovers have only had a higher average attendance than us once in 56 years and they havenโ€™t averaged over 10k since the mid 70s.

For a club who claim to have such massive, loyal support they certainly seem confused about the location of the ground on match day.ย ๐Ÿคฃ

I also have no idea what this means! Are they saying their lowest average attendance ever is 8,078? That is obviously wrong as they averaged only 5k 15 years ago and plenty of occasions 6k since then. I think what he might be saying is that in 1954 their lowest gate that season was 19,638 and our lowest gate each season is often less than that?

https://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/brir.htm

BUT WHERE DID THEY ALL GO??????

They have literally played professional, competitive games in cup competitions in recent history with LESS THAN 1,000 fans there ffs!

No idea and I often find this with some of those lot especially on their forum.

What I do absolutely love about them though is how they use any information or stats in any form to try and get one over us.

This one for example: Your correct their attendances are always a few thousand down on the attendance they actually give out. But so is ours. Not quite as drastic as there's but ours is also down on the figure given out as it doesn't include no shows, pre bought tickets and season ticket holders.

So with absolutely no proof they have established that Cityโ€™s true figure is way worse than rovers.ย
I do find it funny how they try at every topic around stadium and attendances to find some way to better us.ย
