Gas mate told me saying they want Todd Cantwell, I laughed, apparently he was serious

Must be signing on the same day as Dan Bentley, who they were also convinced was signing

One of the best managers the gash ever had !😄

On 25 April 2002, Graydon returned to his hometown club to manage Bristol Rovers, who had finished second-from-bottom of the English Football League in 2001–02, warning that "if you have a sick patient then surgery is required and, in this instance, I have to administer that surgery."[19] The following day he published his retained list, releasing 13 players from the club.[20] He led Rovers to a 20th-place finish in the Third Division in 2002–03, before he was sacked in January 2004, with the club then in 12th-place and fans beginning to turn on him and his "negative football".[21][22][23]

Walking home from work last night I saw a bloke driving a black Range Rover & thought that he looked familiar.

Realised a few minutes later it was Taylor Moore, so then spent a fair while wondering what he was doing in Bristol.

It had completely slipped my mind he was now with that lot, which shows how much they register with me these days.

I bet he didn't react quickly enough and got done at the traffic lights by a pensioner on a bike.

Did find it pretty telling that in his interview on ‘why them’ he basically rambled about how he kept his house in the city from his time with us…

Some would doubt the veracity of that tale, but not me. I have no reason at all to believe it's largely made up. A good read though

Was he in the wrong lane?

They produced a run of million pound strikers when they had Gary Penrice as their specialised striker coach, at one point the top goalscorer in all four divisions was a gas or ex-gas, then in one of the biggest false economies ever they gave him the push and lo and behold no more decent strikers.

I thought it a real shame that we didn't nab Penrice and start to do the same.

Sadly there were a few seasons where they bought a striker for peanuts and turned him into a million pounds, and we would sign a million pounds player and turn him into peanuts

We were bloody good at that though!

A colleague was a Forest fan and he said just the same, they had the magic dust which was sprinkled upon any talented newcomer to make them as bad as the rest of the team.

I don't want to doubt Matt Taylors words here, but which bone in the leg is not "weight bearing"?

The fact I walked on a leg with a broken fibula suggests its not weight bearing but, in my case, there was a concern re some ankle nerves which wind around the bone.

Don't get me wrong, it was really painful but I could still walk on the leg, more on my stupidity than medical advice though. Luckily, the bone fused in almost the right position, just a few mm out otherwise surgically rebreaking my leg was an option. 6 weeks in and its a tad uncomfortable and muscle has been lost but it's not too bad.

I'm sure Chris will get good medical advice.

I`m sure there`s a retired physiotherapist out there somewhere who would gladly help.

Just to keep his hand in.

The usual high opinion of themselves. He’s on loan….so he will most likely leave at the end of the season. If he was permanent, if another team offered more money, he would leave.

I tell you what though, when they reduced it , it must have smarted a little.

I did a proper job on it, looked down and my leg was at an angle, I do genuinely have a high pain threshold and I thought it just felt really, really sore. When they got me to hospital the bloke said that they would have to reduce it , I didn't have a clue what that meant, but he explained that he meant he was going to try and physically straighten it up before they put a cast on and that it was going to hurt like hell. He told me  to take gas and air, which I said I'd be fine without, but he insisted and said something along the lines of you're not as hard as you think you are.

Anyway, I can't remember any pain, but I did pass out and piss myself when he did it, so I assume it may have been a tad painful.

you sir are a wasted talent following that shower, why the hell dont you switch allegiance and not be associated with the rest of them?

Listened to a Millwall pod last night, it appears that Bas is held in the same high regard by their fans as ours.

You utter bunch of f*****s. For over 30 years I have been doing a double of us to win 2-0 and you to lose 2-0. It actually took over 20 years for it to come in, but has now happened 2 or 3 times. I'm up in Edinburgh ATM , which is unbelievably expensive, so when I checked my bets at about five to five and realised I could cash out for about £100, I decided to do just that. And you utter w***********s go and concede another! C***s all of you! Clearly done on purpose. I hope you're pleased with yerselves. W*****s!

Out of morbid interest, how much would you have made if things had been different?

£146 for a £1 stake. When I started doing the bet, I used to put on fivers and tenners, thinking it would probably come up several times a season. I have learnt the hard way, bookies always win!

I have a tip for you all tomorrow though, I'm up in Scotland for the Glasgow derby tomorrow. Rangers are 4/1 in a 3 horse race. Everyone is talking up Celtic. Clement has never won a Glasgow derby, so is surely due one and Celtic have been very, very lucky in the past couple. Add in the fact that Brother Beaton is reffing the game AND I've forgotten my lucky scarf- I was just at the Stroud junction on the M5 when I realised and seriously considered going back for it- and taht has to be worth a fiver of anyone's money.

I've chucked a tenner on hoping to lose it.

Obviously it will be a draw now.

I might do a tenner on Rovers signing a former sex offender within the next 2 years for less than a Tilson, dividing the fan base and ultimately not actually doing that much on the pitch.

Just seems a more realistic punt.

Thank you for shedding a brightside of us conceding a third.

Terrible result & poor performance, made slightly more bareable in the knowledge that it didn't line a gassheads pocket.

Enjoy Edinburgh.

As much as I quite like Miah and his posts, it is fairly obvious he only comes on here when they are doing (reasonably well) and/or we get dicked !  Here's hoping don't hear from him the rest of the season .

I got a neighbour like that ! Bloke only shows his face to me once they’ve won and we lost but bizarrely avoids me or football chat in the reverse scenario.  As you get older aren’t you suppose to mellow towards them as my dislike seems to be growing every day.
