1) Whoever invented 32 year service awards?
2) The ‘EFL’ isn’t 32 years old and Ashton hasn’t ‘worked’ in the EFL for 32 years.
3) How many palms have been greased?
4) Is it possible to despise one man so much!

The full version of that video has got to be one of the most cringieworthy things ever.

If you showed it to someone they'd probably assume Ipswich had just won the title...?

No, just promotion...?

No, made the play off's...?

No, sorry, what, won at Lincoln......FFS..!

Someone should let the EFL know its only actually 27 years....he had a 5 year break from the game according to his own LinkedIn profile

Even Grove Life was “services to football”….providing transferred players with hotels, sorting their houses out, etc, etc.  you can see why he likes a transfer, another opportunity to skim some £s off of the top!!!

He certainly does have an interesting relationship with property development.

The bloke has an ego the size of Jupiter.

It's nauseatingly cringeworthy, but the bloke has teflon shoulders.

All of those Ipswich supporters who were crowing that we were just upset over him leaving will soon be seeing the penny drop as the glitter falls off the turd and leave Ipswich in the turd :D

We were berated on the FBC Podcast for being obsessed with Mark Ashton - looking at the length of this thread we weren't alone!!!

It's like looking at a car crash Dave, no one seems to be able to help themselves.

A 32 year EFL award is very similar to all of the golfing awards Trump has 'won' from competitions at his own courses that either never got played because the course wasn't open, or if it was, he was the only person who met the criteria to enter it.

and that bloke from North Korea…

That bloke from North Korea was mustard.

What was his record, played once, 4 holes in one. It was a genuine act of kindness that he stepped away from the sport otherwise it would have just been a runners up tournament.

To be fair, Trump is a seriously good golfer and has clocked up 9 hole in ones, whereas Ashton is just an ash-hole

I thought someone has shown that they were already first team players before Probert came on board?

Certainly the first two….from reading Gary’s resume he joined in 2013, when Reid and Bryan had already made first team debuts.

There's a brilliant book about Trump and golf called Commander-in-cheat.

So Bakinson scores for Ipswich today - Surely thats adds more value ? Maybe Dickface will really spash out for his services , £20 Million ?? ?

Reckon there is a pre arranged fee in the deal.

The fact that he’s started the last 9 suggests they are planning on him being with them next season, which is good news.

13 points away from the play offs in the third league, **** me they are terrible

You must have that wrong. I thought they had assembled the best squad ever at that level, surely winning the league by a record amount was a forgone conclusion.

Their forum seems to like him overall, with the views best summed up by one who wanted him saying ‘One week he’s Pirlo. The next week Onslow’.

What is the problem with embedding links since the latest forum upgrade? Seems hit and miss. @TomF?

Just added the link again without the embedding image!

It's the same old thing he said when he was here, "we look at international markets", "we work hard" ect ect - it's all things fans want to hear. At no point is MA ever going to say I know the fans want me to do X but we're actually going to do Y, here is the reason why everyone else does X and here's why we think that's a worse idea than Y. The guy lacks depth of knowledge - or certainly doesn't show any in interviews.

One day we’ll move on from him.

The reason the reptile is still the topic of conversation is because we are still experiencing the fall out from his time here and will do so next season and beyond such was his painful and costly impact
