I think we have enough out there now to pin up a new thread for those of us who like to follow the progress of the loanees. Presumably there will be more in the coming days.

I think we have, in no particular order.

Taylor Moore - Hearts

Marlee Francois - Bath City

Owura Edwards - Exeter City

Joe Low - Eastleigh

So @Moderator are we able to pin this?

Not the usual 8-10 or so we'd usually have to comment on. Still enjoy seeing how they get on.

Hopefully Owura starts the next game, he looked very good for Grimsby in that division last year.

Just looked at the live text of the Exeter game on the BBC. Edwards came on in the 76th minute and seemed quite involved.

85' Attempt missed. Jake Caprice (Exeter City) right footed shot from outside the box is too high. Assisted by Owura Edwards

86' Foul by Owura Edwards (Exeter City).

90' Attempt blocked. Owura Edwards (Exeter City) right footed shot from the left side of the box is blocked. Assisted by Jake Caprice.

Yesterday I went to see my hometown Bath City vs top of the league (and fully professional as far as I am aware) Dartford FC. Dartford were pretty convincing and won 3-1.

Marlee Francois, playing as right wing back in a back 5, showed some glimpses in the final third of the match when the Romans were chasing. Looked as if he would benefit from playing a bit further forward with more creative licence.

Josh Owers was pretty anonymous against a Dartford team who were streets ahead of Bath in reality. He only joined on the day of the match too so perhaps not the best game to judge him on.

Owura Edwards - Exeter City didn’t get on

Joe Low - Eastleigh not in MD squad

Ryley Towler - Grimsby Town played CB in a 4 in a 3-1 win at Torquay.  Ignore pitch graphic on BBC….Tinman DMd me to say he was at CB.

Josh Owers ditto Francois

Callum Wood, -  all Bath City not in MD squad

Will Buse, started in a 3-2 at Farnborough

Both Towler and Joe low in action tonight, the BBC Sport website has them both down as playing right midfield for their teams, which in the case of Joe Low seems unlikely?

Towler got 90 in another 3-1 win and Low also 90 in a 4-1 win (Vince Harper got 79 mins)

Some comments:

We simply have to keep this lad all season. As PH said post-match Saturday, plays when he can and clears when he should. Lads got a big future ahead if him ??

Ryley T was MOTM for me, great presence and exudes confidence.

Needs keeping for the season and I don’t see why not. Top player

Got Championship swagger, We'll take that ?

Do we know where he played? As I said in a previous post, the BBC have him at left midfield, but those comments suggest left back or left of back 3.

It was CB in a 4 on Saturday, Tinman tweeted me because BBC had him right wing, just like last night.  Wyscout hasn’t done it’s overnight update yet, but they’ve listed in squad number order in their team sheet (not pitch graphic) and if BBC use that ordering then that’s why he’s shown on the wing.  No doubt he played CB though.

Joe Low showed as right winger on BBC too.  Hoping Tinman will reply to my late night tweet.

This is from Grimsby’s Academy coach.

he was up against Paul Mullin, who was at Cambridge last season.

How the Bristol City players got on last weekend, for their loan clubs.

Ryley Towler started for Grimsby Town, as they beat Torquay United, 3-1. Manager Paul Hurst was very pleased with his debut performance. He played the full 90 minutes.

Will Buse started for Taunton Town. Khari Allen was subbed on in the 53rd minute. They lost 3-2 to Farnbrough.

Josh Owers and Marlee Francois started for Bath City, as they Braintree Town, 3-1. They both played a full 90 minutes. Callum Wood was not involved.

Taylor Moore started on the bench for Hearts, as they drew 0-0 vs Hibernian. He was subbed on in the 66th minute.

Owura Edwards was a unused substitute for Exeter City, as they beat Scunthorpe United, 4-0.

Joe Low started for Eastleigh, he was subbed off in the 63rd minute. The game ended 1-1 vs Barnet.

Taylor Moore - played 90 minutes Hearts drew 2-2 away, Taylor scored just over 6 on the BBC fans poll, about in the middle of the rest of the team.

Owura Edwards - Came on after 68 minutes for Exeter City and had a lot of influence on the game judging by the BBC Live Text.

Joe Low - Eastleigh subbed after 63 minutes in their 2-0 defeat to Ryley Towler and Grimsby Town, Ryley played all 90.

Only Josh Owers played for Bath City as they won 0-1 away in the FA Cup qualifying round to Shaftesbury

Will Buse was in goal as Taunton were thrashed 5-1 away to WSM :(

Khari Allen not in the squad.

I followed some Grimsby fans Tweets after his first couple of games, they've been impressed.
I did wonder how he would cope physically, seems he's managed very well. I think they sort of expected him to be decent on the ball, which apparently he has been, but better than they'd expected.

Good loan for him it looks like.

Josh Owers played the full 90 in a 0-3 home defeat for Bath. George Elokobi was Maidstones captain!

Marlee Francois didn't appear, but he came on as sub for our U23's in the week, so not sure what that means.

Will Buse had a clean sheet as Taunton won 3-0.

Khari Allen not in the squad, but Zac Smith was in their team, has he left us now?

Blimey Bath are have a nightmare of a season so far!

I think Francois was only a month loan? Pretty sure I heard the commentator say that in the 23s game midweek.

Yeah Zac Smith was released by City and joined Taunton.

I would suggest more of a rollercoaster than a nightmare, but very frustrating nevertheless.

Hearts fans seemingly impressed with Moore.

Indeed, they seem to be so impressed they even have their own nickname for him; Mary, as in Mary Tyler Moore of Dick van Dyke fame.

What was also noticeable from their thread was that they all seem to agree he is a good right-sided centre back, who excels in bringing the ball out from defence, rather than just 'hoofing' it.

I was not the only one who suggested on this forum that poor old TM was suffering, being scapegoated even, as he was being played as a left-sided centre back.

Good Luck to everybody's favourite prospective son-in-law.

Low played 90 in a 1-1 draw v Borehamwood (Harper on the bench.

Towler played 90 in a 6-0 win v Dover to go top.

Moore played 90 and picked up a yellow in a 2-0 win v Motherwell as Hearts go top.

Edwards not in Exeter squad?

Joe Low played 90 in Eastleighs 1 1 draw.

Josh Owers played all 90 in Bath Citys 5 0 cup win against Frome. Will Buse and Taunton won 2 1 in the cup, Hartley Wintneys goal was deflected past him apparently.

Sounds like just the loan Owura needs….that’s not me being facetious either.  Battle it out week after week at a good club just to get minutes.

Moore is quality on the right side of a three. His willingness to play in positions for which he isn't suited is the main reason why he's so underrated here. Holden's persistence with playing him on the left was criminally negligent.

OS version:

Taylor Moore completed another 90 minutes for Hearts as they headed to the summit of the Scottish Premiership on Saturday night after a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Motherwell at Tynecastle Park.

There was similar success for Ryley Towler’s Grimsby Town as a first-half goal blitz took the Mariners top of the National League with a 6-0 win, while Joe Low was involved in Eastleigh’s 1-1 draw with Boreham Wood.

Callum Wood and Josh Owers helped Bath City produce a five-star display at a wet Twerton Park to sweep aside Frome Town 5-0 and secure a place in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.

Meanwhile, Will Buse pulled off several saves as Taunton Town secured a 2-1 victory in the Southern League, with the Peacocks coming from behind and grabbing a stoppage time winner.

He isn’t a RB at all imho.  He’s good on the ball, but he’s not nimble enough to play there these days.  His body shape is quite top-heavy now (it wasn’t in 16/17 when he signed) and he’s built to be a CB.

Owura Edwards played about 30 minutes in Exeter's 2 2 away draw.

Ryley Towler played the 90 in Grimsby's latest 1-0 away win

No Sign of Joe Low in the Eastleigh squad, injury or age group call up?

Josh Owers played the 90 in another big defeat for Bath City (4-1)

Will Buse played for Taunton as they drew 1 1

Prince Henry played 83 minutes in WSM's 2-1 win

OS account

Ryley Towler played his part in a clean sheet for Grimsby Town in the Vanarama National League. He featured the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-0 win away to Woking. Grimsby are two points clear at the top of the table, two points clear of Boreham Wood after 11 matches, of which Towler has played eight times his joining on loan.

Owura Edwards came off the bench in the 67th minute of a 2-2 draw away to Stevenage. Exeter City had twice led but saw their leads cancelled out by Elliott List's brace.

Elsewhere, Josh Owers was on the end of a 4-1 defeat for Bath City against Dorking Wanderers.

Seen plenty of Tweets and Posts about Towler from day one. After his first game fans were saying how strong he was, which has been my concern.

Having seen Dave Rennie's interview I think it's quite possible that with todays tech to give players like him the same kind of fitness regime and monitor them remotely. It means that National League football doesn't necessarily mean NL training, that would have been a concern of mine in the past. I would think that it's also beneficial to the loaning club in that their players will see what is required at higher levels and maybe try to aspire to that.

Josh Owers played the 90 as Bath City were knocked out of the Cup by Banbury.

Will Buse and Khari Allen played in a 7 - 1 win for Taunton Town. Apparently Buse made a "world class" save to stop them going 1 down and then saved a penalty at 3 - 1.

Prince Henry came on for the last 25 as WSM lost 1 - 3 to Salisbury, they were already losing and down to 10 men by then.

OS round up….

Here's how our loanees fared for their respective clubs in the latest round of fixtures.

Khari Allen and Will Buse featured in a 7-1 win for Taunton Town, their biggest victory since December 2018. It was 3-0 before Beaconsfield pulled a goal back but the Peacocks stormed four more goals to put the result far beyond doubt.

In League Two, Owura Edwards played 56 minutes of Exeter City’s 2-2 draw with Newport County.

Josh Owers played the full 90 minutes of Bath City’s 1-0 FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round defeat to Banbury United.

Ryley Towler unused substitute in Grimsby Town’s 5-0 FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round win away to Bromsgrove Sporting. Taylor Moore was also an unusued substitute as Hearts drew 1-1 with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

Joe Low was another unusued substitute with Eastleigh. They drew 3-3 with Folkstone Invicta to earn a replay in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.

Will Buse played the 90 for Taunton, who lost 2-0. From the highlights he made a couple of excellent saves but I think he got caught in two minds for the second goal.

Khari Allan has been on the bench for the last 2 games.

Of all of them it seems like Towler is having the biggest impact - a regular in a winning side and getting rave reviews.

Taylor Moore was getting good reviews too, but all their fans kept saying he would be benched as soon as their captain returned from injury, as so it has passed.

OS account….

Ryley Towley’s Grimsby Town loan star spell continues with another 90 minutes in the 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at Blundell Park.

Towler has won eight of his nine games for the Mariners, who are top of the Conference Premier League.

Owura Edwards played 65 minutes for Exeter City in the 2-1 win over Mansfield while Joe Low was an unused replacement for Eastleigh in their 2-1 victory over Altrincham, as was Taylor Moore in Herts' 1-1 draw with Dundee at Tynecastle.

Josh Owers and Callum Wood played for Bath City in the 2-0 Vanarama National League South defeat against St Albans City at Twerton Park, while Will Buse played for Taunton Town in the 2-0 Southern League defeat at Hendon.

Prince Henry scored his third goal in five games in Weston-super-Mare’s 3-1 win over Chesham in which Nathaniel Williams was an unused replacement.
