Not great is it. I can't see it being as bad as last season but we can't get any more and we need players to return.

Semenyo, Conway and Williams all back training….today too soon….Nige said the two senior ones of the three will be back.

I think Pearson said Semenyo and maybe Williams should be back after the international break.

King is out long term after surgery. Baker has always been made of glass, Conway and Cundy aren't really 1st team yet.

I'm not sure what James' status is, and I guess we'll hear from Pearson pre-match re Atkinson.

It's nowhere near as bad as last season imo, although obviously we want them all fit ASAP.

It’s not our strongest eleven by any stretch, but I’m glad he hasn’t risked James and Williams, especially with a 2 week gap coming up.

Some of the changes are down to injuries of course but Nige did say after the Brum loss that he wasn’t happy with the performance particularly the second 45.

I wasn’t expecting quite to many tho.

I’m beginning to think Chris Martin must have some sort of bizarre “must start” clause in his contract.

He's been playing like a conked-out engine.

Needs a set of jump leads to get him started.

The old boys on here will be familiar with "Running-in, please pass"

I really, really, really hope that Williams can stay fit this time and play until the end of the season.

me too....happy if he has to be coaxed back, play one, rest one, play a couple, rest, etc

Still wonder whether this might be a 4141, with one player as a true DM "screen".

Yeh, something tells me it would be unwise to flog him over the many games between the international break and the new year. December is brutal as always and he (and everyone else) will need resting at times.

Actually once this international break is done, we have one midweek game after the first weekend back, but between then and Christmas it's one game a week which is quite useful for easing him and others back in.

What has Chris Martin got to do to be dropped?  Shag Pearson's missus??

That's a balsa-wood looking mf as well.

This isn't looking pretty.

Just hope the large travelling contingent can lift the lads.

Midfielders aged 18, 20, 23 and 25. Maybe 200 or 250 championship games between them? It's not what you want is it really.

As Fleming has just said on RobinsTV there's a huge need for Kalas, Weimann, Martin and Bentley to marshal the younger players and lead them through today.

Is it really? I hadn't realised. December is normally 7 or so matches in the month. Might help having a bit more rest.

Yep just checked. Only 5 games in December this season.

Manure have lost, so there's already a bright spot today.

Bernardo Dasilva tucking in that second goal was the perfect demonstration of busting a gut to make something out of an almost impossible situation.

Fear we are going to miss Atkinson big-time today.

Best we can hope for is a lethargic, under-par performance from Coventry (and hopefuly a red card), but that will still probably be enough to give them a win.

The end of the month and beginning of January is busy as ever, but I think there's usually a midweek game somewhere in December whereas this season there isn't.

Vyner in a 2 and Bakinson in a 2 scares me

I don't think anyone's confident, but it's about as balanced as we can put out given the injuries. The midfield needs discipline, too often they go wandering. If one goes, the other sits, but don't get too far apart. They need to feed the wide areas and get the ball forward quicker. Could go very wrong, but could be positive today. Out of adversity, etc.

Been listening to BBCRB with Geoff...sounds like its gonna be a great day at Yate.

On Robinstv now, interested to hear Challis.  Good comments from him re Massengo not flitting around too much, maintain his position.

Robinstv says not available in your country for me, tried germany and the US

One good thing…if we lose we don’t go down the table at all. Small consolation and all that….having said that I reckon it’s a 2-1 city win.

I think you should take more water with it ?

I think the only solace in this is that I bet Nige is itching to get rid of half of these players.

Nige has got them in the shop window today holding a “For Sale” sign.
Any bid considered underneath the sign.

“Roll up, roll up”.

As far as Williams goes we were told he would be back in 2 weeks. Then that he was back on the grass. Presumably it will now be a case of back after the international break.

Disturbing echoes of last season in fact.

At least there are a couple of potential game changers on the bench today. Trouble is we could be in trouble really early today. Wow I hate this total lack of confidence spreading through this team and fans.

Unfortunately we’ve got some game changers in the starting eleven - eg Vyner who was a fault for two goals on Tuesday
