OTIB outage: Jesus that was difficult - pay your subs!

It’s sad, but OTIB is my go to… just shows how it’s worth £5 per year!

Cough up people, make yourselves purple… unlimited reactions and just a general sense of well being.

And mine. If only to moan about you know who….

Thing is:

Was it down due to money?

How many members are there who pay?

What does it cost to run?

£5 though is nothing. Cost of a Haze on match day. Or a pie. And less than one of those Mexican wrap things Toby wanted after having had a lunch at The Cottage on Saturday.

**** me dad. They’re £7. I’m not that hungry…. ?

It won’t have been down to money… I seem to recall that we’re in quite a lucky position owing to the hard work (&connections) of @TomF

You ever seen the cost of the foot at the good food show?! Now that’s bad!

Just worked it out! Signed up for 5 years. £25 that’s as cheap as chips.

Agreed. Just renewed . I’d forgotten about it . Thanks to those that run this site. Until it was down I didn’t realise how often I check in to see what’s happening … in the absence of otib , jt meant I had to chat with wife / family which was a novel experience …

No. But I’ve seen the cost of chips, coffee, cake and a pitcher of Pimms at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Chips £4. Pimms £38.

I swear Mr L is missing a trick…. ?

Re-signed for another 3 years. Let’s hope I can make a greater contribution over those years than CoD.

ps. For those with an inherent dislike of PayPal - even with paying by card option - it seems you end up opening a (new/another) PayPal account!

Anyhows, even if that’s a pain in the @rse, it’s worth it for supporting this brilliant forum.

I was searching account to find where to pay and came across my profile creation date was 2005 - I feel old now!
Having said that this forum is easily the most important place to visit multiple times a day (the Mrs always tells me off for spending so much time on here ? ) and £5 for that privilege is bargain of a lifetime!!!

I implore everyone to do the same.

How can I check when my subs are due? I admit that at times I can miss the plainly obvious even if it is right in front of me!

If you pay by PayPal you get a reminder by email well before your sub is due and also the option to pay straightaway. I always do anyway, Then I renew as soon as I receive it, so I don't forget.

you need a job at the hpc with the medical team. poor old bakes would have to play every week

What a silly post - Baker played in every single game this season up until his serious head injury vs WBA - with the exception of the game vs Swansea (when he was on the bench) and the game vs Posh. And he was only out for three games following that bad injury at WBA - straight back into the team for our last game vs Blackburn. This myth about him being injury prone needs to stop ...

Me too. Apparently she`s lost her job at Woolworths.

when the nailsea branch closed down, a bloke i know bought the entire contents of the tat that was left after weeks of sales. whilst he was chuffed to bits at having kilos of pick and mix, he was also chin in boots at having bought hundreds of empty cd cases.  the discs were stored under the counter for security and contents of that not included in deal

I have never used paypal (on principle) But I was a contributor for a year and would do again IF I could just pay by debit card, but can't see a way .

I have the same question is there a way to pay other than PayPal?

If you keep going you do get to pay by card, but for some odd reason you have to accept the PayPal terms and conditions. I did it in the end but am certainly not happy about it - have made the assumption that I've not made a commitment to PayPal and they that don't have rights. Hope that TomF can find a better solution that lets those of us who don't want to touch PayPal pay more easily.

You can do it without PayPal - see this thread.  I just have to manually mark the invoice paid once you’ve done it

Thank you, but couldn't the renewal process with OTIB allow people pay directly by card or use the link from within the process rather than being external? (No big deal for me now as I've just renewed, only a thought. In any event, thanks for all you do - much appreciated).
