As someone who was over the moon with Pearson being appointed ….I’ll be one of the first to admit he has to go .

Almost a year in charge and where as I appreciate things take time, we should be seeing some progress by now . Absolutely nothing has changed .

Simply not good enough

If nothing had changed since his appointment, given our form when he took over, we'd be bottom of table. We aren't.

have a look at the table the bottom three clubs will be below us at the end of the season. we are buying players in january and will have a different line up for the last three months of the season

At least one of them will have a massive point deduction.
I admire your optimism but you could have said the same thing after our awful end to last season, about the start of this season, as you have about January.
Pearson hasn’t got anything going here. Do you trust him with transfers? Presumably he’s looking through his little black book of injured ex-Leicester players as we speak.

No he simply lacks awareness. Let’s not go all conspiracy theories, there’s enough of that rubbish in the world already.

Agreed. We've seen this sort of thing from Wells previously.

Utterly pathetic performance from a bunch of gutless and incapable footballers.

This side wouldn't challenge for the playoffs in League One and that's the shocking reality of where we are.

Slight over reaction? We were poor today but it’s pretty clear Sheff u are in a false position. Far far superior to us. We have some gutless players but Sheff u way better today.

288 passes 175 of those completed 60% so basically every other pass goes to the other team or out of play . There is the problem. They had 521 and 417 completed. Can't pass won't pass.

And the passing has been a theme since the final 12 months of LJ's reign. Basic football coaching left this club under his stewardship. Criminal.

I'm the OP and not mentioned anything about the manager. I feel sorry for him.

In all his career he's not been surrounded by a more incompetent bunch. It's a miracle he's not murdered one of them.

We need a better owner for a start, the current one piles in money but literally knows **** all about football so time to sell up and let someone else have a go. Otherwise we’ll spend much of the next twenty years in Division 3 imo. We also need shithouses like Wells, Palmer and JD ****** out of it in January. If Pearson doesn’t deliver on that single thing I will be tempted to knock it on the head tbh. If the buffoon at the very top doesn’t start showing he’s serious in January then many people will look at picking and choosing games next season imo. I know for an absolute fact that I would enjoy going round different non league grounds and watching City now and again.

The Owner has totally ruined the football watching and supporting experience at the Gate and the cheeky little bastard tells us we got it wrong on Teflon. Then he builds a “High Performance Centre”, he’s taking the piss and hey, it’s his money, his club nobody else’s. I actually feel sorry for Pearson and if I was him with his health being as it’s been I would **** off and let someone else take us down (as it stands subject to January incoming) I think.

If we go down (in the current financial climate) I'm unlikely to renew my season ticket. I'm not turning up week after week spending my hard earned money watching to55ers who don't turn up to earn theirs.

On the verge of calling it a day. So frustrated, annoyed and angry.

I watched the first half and got to say it was so embarrassing I decided not to bother with the second half.

We had 3 player booked for basically time wasting at 0-0 in the first half against a side a couple of places above us.

We don't seem to practice any patterns of play in terms of when we have possession. Tactic just seems to be get the ball in the box quickly and be a threat at set plays.

The football is just so negative and boring. It's also outdated now as well. I was willing to give Pearson time but it's got to the point that I don't even want to watch us play anymore.

The issue for me personally is how many years of totally shite football do you take before you stop giving unconditional support. The owner talks about his legacy, he’s a ******* bullshitter.

Don’t think anyone can deny we were lucky midweek but at least we had spells in the game where we were in control. Just think it shows how much we miss Williams.

Genuinely the only player that can control the game in the most important area of the pitch.

I’ll be the first to admit I was excited by Wells signing but he’s just getting worse and worse.

No idea what the answer is but we need James back and I know the restrictions on our spending are very tight but we need to do something in January whether it’s a loan or whatever but we need another midfielder then try to offload Wells, King and preferably a couple of others however unlikely that seems ?

So, you're happy with the job he's doing? Makes you wonder what's going on up at the low performance centre. I reckon the college kids next door would do better. Absolutely pathetic.

I’m really disappointed with pearson, but I don’t see anyone who would come to us and improve things, we’re a poor side with a really poor squad.

All that i would have hoped, considering we are a pretty average bunch of limited players......that   by now Nige would have found or introduced a style  of play that suits the players we have available to us?  I don't think he is anywhere near doing that?   For me, that shows his lack of imagination and skill as a manager?

This is  you all over. You have a opinion but don’t really know what you’re trying to say. Just my opinion of course but I don’t believe you know or understand football at all. As soon as I or others disagree with you , you either disappear or ignore what’s put in front of you . Your that lad that watches a fight then put a sly kick in at the end .

Have to agree..........it would take a manager/coach of immense patience and fortitude to make something out of this disparate bunch.  I cannot think of anyone.  So I guess we're stuck with Nige, until a miracle occurs?   Ha!

Yep.....   I'll give you that, it was a chink of light amongst the general gloom.  But it was hardly a blockbuster of attractive attacking football?................What is wrong with me?    Sorry that ain't never gonna happen  Ha!

This club lost its momentum when Cotts left.  Yes LJ did ok up until the Man Utd game when he thought he had become Jurgen Klopp.  We've been sliding backwards since then and now relegation is a real possibility, it may be to late for the club to wake up. We may well be heading back to our average position of Champ/Div 1 yo yo club.. Opportunities have been wasted and so the cycle continues.

I’d have more time for him if he actually got the players to try to play football instead of lumping it and passing it to the opposition at every opportunity, i had hoped that he would of provided more attacking intent other than discovering that our centre half has a long throw

I would have thought that you try to introduce a style of play that suits the limited resources you have available....you recognise their limitations, and try to form a structure that suits those players?   And Making the best of what you have is patently something Nige has not achieved.  I am really disappointed in him, I really thought he would bring in some structure and impetus, I would have to say he is a 5/10 failure so far.   But we are stuck with him, he can possibly redeem himself by his actions in the january window...........but i'm not holding my breath.

That’s probably not a million miles out in reality but from a personal perspective I want to see at least a couple of wasters moved on or at least attempted to be moved on. If Nige is either not afforded that luxury or is not prepared to do that then I have to question why bother?

either sit on and enjoy the rollercoaster or get the hell off and don’t experience the highs and lows

The problem is if you allow people to bugger off you sure as hell will struggle to replace them or get them back. Telling people to **** off is not the answer but the problem we have is nobody running the club has an answer.

What we are watching is really uninspiring football. When we lose as well as playing pi55 poor football then I really wonder why I bother watching.

Lansdown has been clear it's his club, he decides the strategy and we're just customers. As a customer I don't enjoy the product atm and am seriously thinking of not bothering to buy it any more this season.

Therein lies the problem of a smug owner. You will get back what you dish out. It’s his club and your money is your money, works both ways.

And it still took us 7 years after he had been appointed to reach the promised land, I bet he would admit it's a lot harder now, not sure what I would suggest as an answer to our current problems but that doesn't make it any easier to bear.
