cidercity1987
Certainly one of the best sides in L1 in memory. Maybe not the final points tally as they drifted off once promotion was guaranteed but that squad should have done so more in the Champ the following season
Port Said Red
I remember looking it up and the time and the last time we had 8 - 2 was just after the war against....... err Walsall?

It was a really solid foundation to build on, but we blew it and proceeded to dismantle all that had been created under SC. The momentum built, along with the. stadium rebuild, should have been the springboard to a real push for the Prem. Sadly we let that slip through our fingers and any momentum we had is now long gone, as we’re all very well aware. Still, that’s how we roll here, so no big surprise! I just don't really understand why that squad was in the relegation zone come January. Compared to the current poor squad that is keeping us well clear of relegation there is no comparison

I think the fact SC believed he didn’t get properly backed in the summer window had a lot to do with it and the taem spirit seemed to suffer. Heads seemed to drop very easily when we conceded and that wasn’t the case the previous season. I know the Championship was a big step-up in quality, but really thought we had the quality of players who could rise to it.
Lorenzos Only Goal
It's a bit sad we ripped the spine out of that side. Smith, Bryan, Flint, Ayling, Freeman, Pack and Reid absolutely nuts all sold on and replaced with mediocre players.
