9 consecutive games conceding 2 plus goals. A record stretching back 60 years since we last did it.

And we have had our worst ever run of not winning at home as well both under NP, don't know what to say about both, most managers would have lost their jobs but for the mitigating circumstances.

Well the first half reflecting the wet and windy weather for us there.

First 35 minutes or so we looked decent. Some excellent play from the back and a few good breaks at pace got us in good positions, but only ever really half chances.

Chances - HNM having an excellent half pressed the Blackpool back line and did well before perhaps going down easily. COD doing the same (going down to easily) in a 1 on 1 race. Semenyo shot after super press bypassing move from the back, when Martin might have been a better option in the middle.

We looked pretty well placed and in the game before a very poor 3 or 4 minutes of play.

COD and Klose guilty of not getting rid and danger man Bowler sits up a cross where, again Dasilva beaten in the air at the far post by a header back across goal for a simple tap in and City are undone.

Suddenly looking shaken, Dasilva (who’d be doing well getting forward, if leaving space for Hamilton to run into once or twice) being pressed seems to get mixed up with Max and a corner is conceded from which its 2 nil, Kalas out jumped by Madine.

Scott good again on the whole. Generally impressed with Klose despite the poor clearance.

Undone by a poor 3 minutes of defending. Tough second half ahead

You've basically answered your own statement with the mitigating circumstances...

2 perfectly avoidable goals yet again. Ok, so not a great half from either side but we just keep producing crap defending that gets fully punished every time. Will we ever learn.

Spot on. Sooooooo comfortable, but two lapses AGAIN, and we're two down.

As opposed to how we’re dealing with them so far, then?

Not sure that Vyner would help, he’s not exactly the towering header winner nor particularly effective of being assertive in his own box. Plus in this wind aimless puts upfield won’t help either. So no not a game for Vyner

From when it went to O'Dowda on the touchline would you have been happy for it to end up at Klose's feet for an easy clearance?

Poor clearance from Klose totally...thats an error for the goal, but O'Dowda is again weak with his body and arms preceding it.  That is an unnecessary error, regardless of what happens after isn't it. You cannot let yourself be outmuscled there.  That's the basics of football I'm afraid. It happens too often with Callum.

Dasilva out jumped for the 1st  as good as he has been going forward that's the problem at the back

Which to be honest is always going to be the issue with a full back who’s 5ft 6.

We are poor defensively as a unit though & been so most of the season.

Losing Baker & Atkinson not being the same player since his first spell before injury has hit us hard.

failings all over the pitch for the goal. O'dowda keeping the ball in , Klose scuffing the clearance, Dasilva and Kalas ball watching for the cross.

Played 541 last time out (Fulham away), but they’ve tended to go 442, especially at home.

If Madine plays then we mustn’t let him peel onto Pring.  If that happens I would suggest a quick change to 442, move Pring to LB and assign Klose to him with him and Kalas as a CB2.

O’Dowda (or whoever plays LWB) will have a big test against Bowler, and I will be looking to see if we can impose on him, but as a minimum stopping him may go a long way to getting the points.

Youd hope Martin and Semenyo can get some change out of Heck-Potato and Keogh…but Keogh usually plays well against us.

Garbutt at LB has a lovely left foot, but also rash in the tackle.  Can be got at.

Not far off was I?

At the moment possibly but sooner or later results will have to improve because at the moment they are pretty dire even if there is some improvement in some of the overall play.

It's a tricky one because just when you think there's no hope- suddenly there is! And vice versa

FWIW, watching Robinstv via safari on iPad Pro, is better resolution that via Robinstv app, which never keeps a full resolution.

When we are about to defend a set piece I find the best resolution to be from behind the couch.

He plays like an absolute coward on the pitch. Glad he’s been taken off and definitely one to upgrade in the summer.
