Maybe too much so. I think his topic was "Punching the ball into my own net from the edge of the box under little pressure from a Watford forward" 4

People's ignorance towards James does nothing but show their own ignorance..! One of the best careers in English football & a really nice, model pro attitude to go with it. God forbid that here he was left playing behind an absolute pile of shite, for a club that was in utter dissaray..!

One of the best careers in English football is a big stretch. In terms of longevity, maybe, but not footballing success. A very decent Premier League goalkeeper for many years, and over 50 caps for England isn't to be sniffed at, I'd agree with that. However, he hardly won anything throughout his career. He's miles behind loads of players in terms of footballing successes. Wouldn't even make the top 100.

On a personal/individual level, he holds (has held) many records. Most appearances, most clean sheets etc. I don't think a GK can be particularly held to account for teams not winning anything, despite having kept more clean sheets than the majority of his piers. Eddie Hitler
I really warmed to him when it was reported that he was driving a customised Vauxhall Astra van; I like that degree of inidviduality.

He's on Richard Osman's House of Games this week and revealed he makes new sofa cushion covers. He also upheld his Bristol City connection today by throwing away an almost nailed on win on the last question of the last round. 3
