AFC Bournemouth away match day thread

Bournemouth play those passes that would change our game, those little intricate passes in the final third, we're doing a great job so far today but we could really do with that added to our game to keep teams pinned back and put them under pressure rather than us being put under the pressure so much.

DaSilva struggling and looking our weak link

He's got a very difficult job today though. Anthony and Zemura look like a very good partnership, using some great overlaps and tricky passing. Plus Anthony is about twice DaSilva's size and an athletic guy. Yes DaSilva is getting worked, and they're getting round him quite often, but I'm not sure how many other RBs in the division, let alone our squad, would be doing much better.

It's down to Cundy, Weimann, James etc to help DaSilva out here.

HT 1-1, predictably been backs to the wall stuff for long periods and as it stands unlikely that B'muff won't score again.

Martin is more-or-less just a passenger bypassed by their quicker players all the time, I'd take him off and bring Massengo on to try and enable us to keep the ball better.

That was a pretty brutal half of defending and attempting to counter. Nice set piece goal but other than that we've struggled to get the ball, keep the ball, or do anything with it.

More due to Bournemouth being good then us being bad though, so that's positive...I guess? Zemura, Anthony, Solanke all dangerous, and they're a team team combines physicality and technical ability. It's a potent combination.

Still, if this finishes with us taking points I'll be pleasantly surprised. It will mean another dogged 45 minutes.

I know it won’t please the moaners but going in level is a decent achievement.

Solanke cost them £17m, look at our back 3, a signing from Bath City, a bloke who didn’t have a club for 6 months until January & a player with 1 season of L1 football under his belt prior to this.

Hilarious to read some of the comments, Bournemouth have spent absolute fortunes, brought in 5 more in January.

Decent effort so far, a point would be brilliant.

Agree martin is a waste of a shirt and we need More in midfield its far to easy for them to pass it through us... Unlucky with the goal big suspicion of offside but was never gonna be given....

Just go to keep fighting the second half...

I mean, one shot to their 12 and 21% possession implies we have bo happy to be level. Angles on their goal not conclusive, but could well be off so that’s irritating. Suspect all we can do is keep it close as long as possible and see what happens.

Geriatric Lino often at the gate, can’t keep up

Mick McCarthy's dad????

Tough half.  Alex Scott looks like he struggling, players running off him too.

Often we are 541 out of possession.

Suspect second half will be much of the same.  Need to care for the ball on the break too, players need to give better angles, not necessarily run for ONE killer pass.

Why What's he done in the match today he's not in the game at all hence today he's a waste of a shirt player in other positions would be more effective....

Atkinson Cundy Klose and Dasilva are playing well

Midfield doesn't exist and we're ceding possession all over

Upfront Wells and Martin trying, but hamstrung by Weimann being dragged to help cover Dasilva who's had an impossible task.

Impressive performance, defensively, we need change in midfield Scott for Massengo or James for Massengo??

Wouldn’t say Dasilva is standout.

James and Scott have been non existent. That said, they have some real quality in their side. Klose, Cundy and Atkinson looking robust.

We are panicking when in possession. Very much hot potato stuff.

A tad one-sided, but lets hope for for the same scoreline after 90+ minutes.

Reading went there only three weeks ago and drew, they had more possession than them and were the better team and here we have the above totally embarrassing stats.

We're also going too tire if the possession stats are repeated. Need to hold it better.
