That was a really poor effort by Forest. Given the form they’ve been on, I really expected them to offer more but we barely saw anything from them in that second half. Bournemouth easily deserved that.

Pretty muted celebrations by Bournemouth as people have already said, but this is a fanbase for which the novelty of the Premier League wore off a few years back. All very “meh” for them.

Could and should have been 0-1 at HT , but for that offside / pen decision. Would have been a different game I think

Hetting really, really tired of all this up dpwn up down nonsense.

For the good of football, i have to say I hope it's Luton now (prickhead manager aside)

He’s the single reason I don’t want them to go up.

Unbelievable recruitment again from Liverpool. Already looks a snip at £37.5m.

Think the plan was to sign him in the summer but Spurs came in for him.

Just need Huddersfield to join them...

Will they play a full strength side on Saturday? Below Forest on goal difference and guaranteed 4th, but can still finish 3rd with a win, if the East Midlanders slip up away to Hull.

Would think you want to finish 3rd and possibly play Luton.

Actually Brechin City would be mine (B City and all that) but I chose Montrose years ago specifically because they constantly ended bottom of the whole league. But hey, look at them now.

I was always a Queen of the South fan. Just liked the name!

A better reason than mine. Many years ago, I wanted to pick a Scottish club, and this lot seemed to be constantly .. uh,  how can we put this...

Rubbish and bottom of the league losers. Things could only get better, and it seems they have done I love Montrose and have followed their results ever since the mid 90s

Bournemouth are going to blow this

Parker seems a decent guy but far from convinced by his managerial abilities

I tend to agree - but he has promoted a side from the championship to the premier league as its manager - so he's obviously got something about him ...

Has there been lots of rain or have they over watered the pitch?

Torrential all day, luckily for those inside the ground it eased off in time for kick off.

Sky sports were getting overly excited reporting on the rain all afternoon

“When you hear the noise of the Partick Thistle boyz we are coming down your road” - sung decades before the tartan army and Liverpool stole it ...

”If you want to go to heaven when you die, you must wear a Thistle hat and Thistle tie, you must wear your Thistle bonnet, with “f@ck Raith Rovers” on it, if you want to go to heaven when you die...”

”Hallo, hallo, how do you do? We hate the boys in royal blue, we hate the boys in emerald green, so (unprintable ending) ...”

”I’ve followed the Thistle for many a day, I’ve seen all the matches at home and away, and when the game’s over, if Partick have won, we’ll charge down the tavern and join in the fun with the Partick Thistle, Partick Thistle FC...”

”...and we’ll fly our flags for the Maryhill Jags ...”

Kelly Hearts these days for me. My late brother lived in Kelty and I have actually seen them play when they were a Lowland League side. On a meteoric rise at the moment with an English striker banging in the goals when he is fit. 21 goals this season at an average of a goal every 96 minutes. :) Take a bow Nathan Austin.

Last time we were there they had the clackers too, so I wouldn’t be surprised. It must be a Prem thing!

Mine too @AppyDAZE. Been to a couple of their games, started trying to get to one a season when City aren’t playing, saw them home to Airdrie in 2019 and home to Alloa a few months ago. Amazing story their rise from endless failure and the team under Stewart Petrie actually play some decent stuff. Am a nominal shareholder via their 500 draw too.

Montrose is also just a stunning place, in a stunning location, it feels like an island backing onto the lake and trains arrive over water. There is also a pub with Gold on tap! Maybe I’ve lived in cities too much but the scenery is just off the charts. Pretty exhilarating going for a wander around the docks and beach to the ground. Here’s my NTTDS impression:

Due to loads of family from Buchan region, The Blue Toon, with a side helping of Buckie Thistle (where my mum's from).

My cousin used to run the bar at Peterhead.

Put's things in perspective.

@SteveCook28

First of all a big congratulations to

@afcbournemouth

on promotion but tonight I need to thank the paramedics at the game. Unfortunately my dad suffered a cardiac arrest just before the game and they managed to bring him back to life. I’ll forever be grateful for their actions

Mine's Ross County.  The little team who consistently overachieve.

Alloa Athletic. It goes back to the mid eighties when I spent four days on the piss in Germany at a festival at the Nurburgring with U2 as the headliners. There were two absolutely mental Alloa fans in with our lot and I`ve followed them ever since. Up the Wasps!

I was glad when Brechin City got relegated out of the league though - no more FFS! moments when you look at the Sky vidiprinter without your glasses on!
