Major Isewater
Nobody seems to want the Carabao cup so why do teams enter ? Is it an obligation ? I understand that the ‘ prize’ money is piffling so it’s not for the money unless you get lucky draws , the kind Mrs Isewater wears on the weekend. So why compete if it is just an inconvenience?

Mr Popodopolous
Plus, in the right circs it can propel a side on in the League- see Burnley 2008/09, I believe that momentum surely helped them to win the playoffs.
LondonBristolian
It's probably useful for a lot of clubs in terms of squad management and giving players outside the first XI a shot at forcing their way into the managers' plans. There's only ever been one season I've actually enjoyed the League Cup but - whilst I know this almost definitely won't happen - if Dylan Kadji got a chance tonight and showed something that suggested he could solve our defensive midfield issue, that would make it worthwhile on its own.
Gazred
A good run can generate a few quid. Matty Taylor covered his transfer fee with one assist (not £10m!). Is it still a route into Europe?

And Its Smith
I really like the league cup. Good chance for squad players and/or youngsters to get valuable game time and stake a claim for a first team spot. I like watching players I don’t normally get to watch. The league cup has produced some great memories and I don’t really understand the negativity. If teams want to rest their first teamers then that’s absolutely fine

BCFCGav
It's a major trophy. I appreciate it's no Champions League but it's still a major. We have 0 of them in our history, so I'd certainly take a League Cup!

Sir Geoff
Three Semi Finals in over 50 years of watching us, is scant consolation for all the dismal early round defeats imo. I'm in the really don't care for it camp.

A Horse With No Name
What annoys me is when a manager makes about 8 changes from his 'League' team, then when they get knocked out, moans that they really wanted to win etc. No, you obviously didnt. Maybe wait for more than two games played before predicting doom for us this season. Many people had to backpeddle hastily after predicting we'd be relegated last season. Including every Gashead in existence.

Oh Louie louie
My alltime fave away days been in this cup. Sadly i think it will be scrapped sooner or later. Sooner i think. Last few years though, klopp and pepe have respected it tbf. Fergie ignored it for years, then when they were 33,1 in the betting, he started playing! Guess I’m just a couple of years older than you and those League Cup Semi-finals are definitely some of the main highlights of 56 years watching City. Not giving up on a fourth, hopefully with a Wembley final!

Oh Louie louie
Id rather have this cup than the fa cup, due to our history. I wouldnt want too see any cup competition gone. How things are going, its bottom of the pile. Probaly be the first to feel the pinch, the way things going.
