Curr Avon
Huddersfield [H] review ….. this Beast is on fire!! (podbean.com) Is there no stopping Antoine Semenyo? His 3rd goal in a week of coming on as a sub and the finish this time was emphatic. City rose to seventh in the Championship with this win that keeps the unbeaten run going before a testing yet less intensive sequence of fixtures in September. DaveP hosts Neil, Ian and Mark whose sound problems are at last banished!!! Edited September 2, 2022 by Curr Avon

Sir Geoff
Interesting point re Kalas being on 99 games. Would be interesting to know what the trigger (number of games played) was for Martin getting automatically renewed for a further 12 months. If this is the case and it is 100 games for Kalas then we couldn't afford to extend on current or improved terms. Probably nothing to see here but the longer he is out more the mystery thickens. Ooooh, interesting notion re Martin’s trigger. I’d assumed it was based on appearances last season, e.g. hitting say 30 in season two (he hit 30 in season one), which would line up with the trigger in March last season. He ended the season on 76 appearances, but I’d never thought of a total number until your post. Kalas doesn’t have a option to trigger, so shouldn’t be relevant in terms of an extension, but there could be bonuses related to hitting 100 I guess. Kalas is on 98 in terms of league appearances (excluding his loan) plus he’s made 7 more in the cup. I don’t think there is any connection, but genuinely think he’s had an injury & now we are concerned about how it is healing.
