Never to the dark side
I thought that was a very strange time to show the Middlsesbrough v Rotherham game at 19:45pm on a saturday night It turns out that each Championship club is allowed to have at least two home games broadcast on Sky per season. One in the first half of the season and one in the second half of the season. It seems that Sky could not fit in a Home game for Rotherham before the turn of the year. So Sky picked the Boro v Rotherham game, which would benefit Rotherham more as they will get the away game payment which is worth more than the home teams payment
Admin phantom Posted September 20, 2022 Admin Share Posted September 20, 2022 I'd assumed that it was originally being played Monday night but was moved because of other events Very odd from sky
Lrrr
A) the fixture was moved for sky before the season started so BS about them not being able to fit a fixture in 2) it’s the home team who get more money, it’s something like £100,000 home team, £10,000 away team. It’s why Leeds hated being on tv so much
