But well groomed

Very hard to crack and get out of their shell, which is why they are one of the favourites.

My mother asked me if I thought they'll win the Cup.

I replied " Nay Mar "

Quite an enjoyable game so far.

Morocco’s goalkeeper’s distribution is interesting and, perhaps I am wrong, but does anybody else get the impression the referee is favouring Morocco, slightly? Quite a lot, actually.

I think he is letting the player be more physical than most of the other refs I've seen this World Cup and that is definitely favoring Morocco at the moment.

You mean he's allowing it to be a contact sport - as it should be.

Refs who don't allow any sort of physical contact are favouring teams like Spain and Brazil, who have a propensity to go down like a sack of spuds at the slightest challenge and in particular when they lose the ball under any sort of pressure in a dangerous area.

Perhaps that’s why the match is so enjoyable.

Another reason, of course, is that it is always nice to see an upset and, the more this match goes on - just under half an hour of normal time left as I type - the more I suspect this might be the first and only upset in this round of 16.

Am I the only one who find Spain boring to watch? Like man city half the time it's just pass for pass sake

Put it this way apart from their first game I don't think England would lose any sleep at the thought of playing Spain, Brazil on the other hand.

I was thinking the opposite TBH. Gavi for example has got away with murder.

We had a Rodri for a while and he wasn't the best. Remember?

Does anyone one know what a ‘forced turnover’ is?

You’ve forgotten him? You lucky #####!

Haha I vaguely remember us having a dodgy Spanish player. I can’t remember him being called Rodri though ?

Just thinking the same…..up there with Argentina for noise.

There are a lot of Moroccans living and working in Qatar.

Additionally, I am sure I read that their King, Mohammed VI, laid on two planes for their supporters and subsidised their tickets.

Nevertheless, wonderful support, both male and female.

And another good one…..”he lost the flight of the ball”…..no he didnt, he got barged in the back and knocked out from underneath it!

Early on I am convinced that he said "He tried to pass through the eye of an eagle" I was thinking of sending it into Private Eye and getting £20 from Colemanballs.

Mohammad VI and the Emir of Qatar are great mates. I worked on the Emirs Palace in Ifrane on land gifted to him by Mohammed. Fairly modest with a contract value of £1.2bn

I don't understand the Spain love in. Tedious to watch at times.

When it truly clicks and all falls into place it can be fantastic I reckon. When it doesn't, it's all a bit samey, dull- predictable.

Either possession with and heavy pressing without when it goes well, but dull and a lot of aimless passing when it goes badly.
