cheese
Not sure what meaning could be attached to this other than perhaps Pearson's half time team talks aren't up to much!!
Admin phantom Posted December 23, 2022 Admin Share Posted December 23, 2022 What would the table look like if games started in the second half?
22A
The opponents have had 45 minutes to suss us out and know how to turn the game round.
Sir Geoff
If games finished before they started we would be 4th alphabetically. 3
Red-Robbo
We should instantly resign from the league and start a super-league playing 45-minute games. 3
BCFCGav
Mentality issues I think. Some teams can grind out wins from playing poorly, we grind out defeats from playing well. Some teams find a way to score an ugly goal, we'll find a way to concede one. Frustrating, frustrating season.
And Its Smith
Pearson’s one big flaw is he cannot change a game. His answer is always to throw loads of strikers on and it hardly ever works. I calculated it about 6 games ago and goals per minute with increased number of strikers in a game is less than when we just play the normal formation

However, I’d add that the lack of squad depth is another reason, and that he is often bringing on “worse” (define worse!) players than his starting eleven, which doesn’t help either. It is rare for us to have a strong bench. Combo of both, not helping.
