There's a march next week if you're interested!

The only individuals that will be able to influence the board would be those with a min £250m investment, so unless any of the marchers have got access to that then you might as well stay in the pub and have a couple more pints….

FT 1-1, we were so much better when Williams and Sykes came on. Semenyo scores, but his overall game was pants.

Vyner & Pring good throughout.

Agreed, although also going to a back four meant we could start to at least play through midfield.

Probably a fair result considering our first half performance. They looked so much better on the ball but did not really look like scoring a 2nd. Second half was mostly all us and truth be told we should have killed the game off. Seems to be commonplace lately certainly with the Millwall game.

Great to see Semenyo pick up some momentum.

I read about it but the reasons behind the march are not clear: a collective complaint to EFL/Refs Association should be the main point though.

Anyway, with hundreds of supporters living in Bristol, I don't think that an Italian supporter flying to Bristol would be required. ? If we talk about social medias, I'm ready to give a strong contribution, if something is organized...

Replay + injuries, eh?!? Not the best scenario.

Exactly what we need........an FA Cup Replay?   Should just go to pens........what a novelty that would be!!  Ha!   So we will draw Arsenal at home, but of course lose the replay.................pointless!     Who'd have thought it?.................I have turned into a massive pessimist

Looks like that would be the only way we would get any pens!

No pleasing some on here, if we lost there would of been a meltdown, we grinded out a replay and people still want to moan about it

I promise I take no pleasure in it - but injuries to Conway and Weimann when we’re in a relegation battle just to get us a third round replay against the Jacks? I can’t fathom how that’s a good day. A defeat and no injuries would’ve been absolutely fine, it’s just a cup we won’t win!

Put them under pressure and they are very average and prone to mistakes  - what we were doing first half I don’t understand

Maybe we were preserving energy but the passing was awful as well

I would say it was a mixture of Swansea sitting back on their Laurels and it getting a bit scrappy suited us better . we only showed attacking intent/urgency  from  the 70th minute .  I think the 4-3-3 helped us stretch the play get weimann into the game , as we were so narrow 1st half and just no cohesion at all.

Depends on the manner of the defeat for games like this, I expect us to be competitive but yeah losing would be fine if we were competitive.

Fair enough, I may disagree but I understand the rational behind your opinion, some on here just want to moan for the sake of moaning

Meh, atleast we’re in the draw. If we get a decent tie then go for it. If it’s Blackpool then send the kids to Swansea

Regardless just go for it. Our recent away form is better than our home form and winning breeds confidence. Anyway I like Blackpool

This has 1-1 draw and replay written all over it….. Wait, are there replays anymore ? I seem to remember us going out to Fulham in added time last year ?

Hope you had a little bet on that ?

Well that 2nd half display has upset  few who could not wait to berate NP

Although according to the bedwetters Semenyo only scored due to the keeper diving out the way, but fail to compliment the good pressure and build up and AS jumping, beating his man with a downward header.

Looked more likely to win in the end, also having now seen multiple angles replays very unlucky to to have had at least 1 penalty.

Could do without a replay and injuries are massive concern, but atleast keeps the boo boys quiet

How much better were we, when we went 433 after Sykes and Williams came on.

Changed formation...still played with width, and took control.

Been saying it for months we have the ability to play this formation.

So have I . Don’t get how Pearson keeps shoehorning us into 3 at the back saying it suits the players,  It doesn’t . Tanner & Pring are full backs . 433 suits us better imo

FA cup replays are so stupid these days. Just do extra time and pens

I agree it's not ideal for us today but replays are great for teams like Chesterfield who drew at home to WBA yesterday so will get a few quid from reply

Saying motivating a team isn't a part of football management would certainly be a new take.

That’s a bit simplistic though if you bother to think about it. Players don’t or shouldn’t be walking off the Coach at 11:15am this morning not giving a **** and waiting for Nige to tell them “we’ll fight them on the pavements”, “make sure you give these ******* Jack ***** a good hiding” etc. etc.

There is a large degree of self motivation involved in pro football.

Very good 2nd half again today after a shocker in the 1st , if we could just manage to put things together for 90 minutes we will win, when we are up for it we look a good team just need to have that passion from the start of the match, maybe make the warmup more high energy get them going,

Absolutely. Many have been saying go to a back four for a while. Many also said King isn’t a centre back so we just have to hope Pearson catches up soon on that one too!

Saying motivation is just about the team talk is definitely a simplification. Man management and trust are built on the training pitch and in the manager's office as much as on a match day. Then you need to build the right team too and have the right characters, but it's a definite balance.

Bet that’s exactly how it would have been seen on here, thank goodness we lost, eh?

For me I take more comfort from us battling back from a terrible mistake & proving we’re their equal.

If we’d been awarded one of the numerous clear penalties we’d be through.

Whole week until we play again, Weimann has a lovely habit of being available, I wouldn’t write him off yet.

Why ? Why do you need motivating to play football for a living. It’s just a cop out

Rewards for playing need to be more performance based with a basic wage. We'd all take a footballers wage for doing nowt any time.

He’s admitted he doesn’t really like playing 3 at the back as well. We can play naismith in front of the back four

Hopefully people noticed that playing 433, doesn't stop us playing with width. Both Pring and Sykes got wide and forward. It doesn't stop that threat. It just means adjusting who drops, covers etc

I’m not sure how others would’ve reacted to a defeat - but I wrote on this thread yesterday I’d take a loss here for a league win. We know how much injuries can harm a team - and I’m pretty fearful for the remainder of this season.

As for penalties; that’s a lost cause I’m afraid! The club should make a compilation of not-givens since our last pen and post it on Twitter for a laugh. Tag the EFL and everything.

Not saying motivation isn’t a “thing” but lack of motivation was not the reason Atkinson literally showed the technique of a Suburban League Division 7 player for their first goal. And if you think that is unfair you are correct, unfair to Division 7 players more like Division 9….

I agree tone but they’re living the dream , literally . I can imagine the scenario now . Oh I got to get up early tomorrow , half 8 to go training at 10 for a hour & half . But what’s my motivation apart from the £60k I’m getting at the end of the month

Oh I know, I’ll try to learn how to pass a ball 5 yards to team mate this week

No it's not, that's not the point I was replying to but concentration and focus aren't totally unconnected from the manager's influence either.

To be honest no one wants a replay but the way we got it means it is a good day if only because post West Brom we needed a positive performance to bring some reason to the situation especially at home

First half was not great but O’Leary did not have save to make bar the goal which was an error, second half was much better went for it and honestly should have won , Pring was outstanding , the injuries looked like knocks rather than pulls so fingers crossed , also decent crowd in the end 12k plus given out as , and decent atmosphere in the second half

By the way was ‘lucky’ enough to catch that miserable sod Ian on Radio Bristol , what is his problem ,what a tosser
