Tinmans Love Child
This has happened quite a few times over the last few years with little or no impact. Man Utd get nearly 80,000 and Man City nearly 60,000 so it's no wonder they don't have capacity for policing and transporting 140,000 at the same time for a few hours, but not an issue here with total crowd no more than 30,000 Edited January 17, 2023 by Tinmans Love Child
Oh Louie louie
Recall when Middlesbrough were going bust they played a game at Darlington after Darlington had finished there's I think
Robbored
It’s A&S police that reckon they don’t have the resources to cover two home matches in Bristol - Blackburn aren’t a particularly stroppy lot and I doubt we’ll see many coppers around AG on Saturday. RoystonFoote'snephew
I've never looked but do Manchester United and Salford ever play at home on the same day? That's a better parallel to here.
fatchers
Are that other lot expecting 20,000 as well ? After all, Wally thinks they're the Boca of Bristol.
archie andrews
Didnt this happen last season we played blackburn rovers at home and they had tranmere rovers at home so 3 lots of rovers fans in town.......
Silvio Dante
The way I see it, both teams at home same day is the ideal opportunity to settle the “people’s club” debate for good. On a week when only one is at home, attendances could be impacted by unique factors such as balloon fiesta, concert, Joey Barton’s court appearance. With both at home, those factors should equally affect both teams net attendance. Therefore, the people of Bristol have a clear choice of going to either game and whoever attracts more surely has to take the title of peoples club. Looking forward to hearing from Tom Gorringe at 4:45 Saturday.

fisherrich
Back in the good old days, City fans would have been plotting up in the Clipper, H&C or Liquid Assets! Edited January 17, 2023 by fisherrich

Fun fact: In Argentina, Boca fans are known as Los Bosteros ("manure shovellers") Maybe, Wally has found something that links them with the Gas.
