Amazes me how little blame Tanner seems to be getting for their goal, Vyner can take whichever the player is between them, Foden is arriving back post with no one watching/tracking him which should be Tanner's job. Bell getting the blame for switching off and not tracking Mahrez, Tanner switches off just as badly.

I think he’s just victim to the overloads and movement in that side. They are different class, who do you mark when you are against a team like that. Perhaps he could have been facing the other way with his back to goal but a top top finish though.

I can understand some criticism, we just want the best from our team. It is tough though, the Manc movement off the ball is on a different level to most games we play.

We look better with the ball than without but the physical toll of chasing the runners is starting to tell. We need some time on the ball and some injury breaks to catch our breath.

We’re playing at a high pace. We might pay the price later on.

Excellent display though. Doesn’t Sam Bell look dangerous?

I suspect any clubs already not aware of Alex Scott will be now.

Radio Bristol saying Weinmann coming on , suspect for Bell

ITV pundits at half time saying we should have had a pen, and purring over another highlights reel of AS, although it's even more noteworthy that the commentary team ran one of these in-game during the first half alone

I don’t think the commentary has been terrible tbf- Ally in particular, and I usually hate ITV coverage. Hasn’t been a massive Man City love in (yet)

The only thing there is to moan about is that there’s not a snowflakes chance in hell Alex Scott will be our player next season. He looks totally comfortable and at home against the Premier League champions.

hes rubbish and this game is not normal for him :liar:

If it pushes his value even higher then it’s good.

They weren't overloaded though, Kalas, Vyner, Tanner could have been on a man each as that ball came in but Tanner stuck with who he was closest to but could have been Vyner's player as he was only a foot or two infront of that player

Weimann coming on for Tanner, presumably with Sykes to right back. Not the change I'd make but in Nice we trust.

That is an odd one, Sykes has got the pace as has Wiemann but Tanner is more defensively sound position wise, I’m writing this as Foden gets past Sykes

One of those games where we're playing well - but even playing well means we're only hanging in there. To actually threaten, and even score, we need to play incredibly well.

And even if it's 1-1 in ten minutes time...I mean just look at the difference between the benches to see how that last 20 mins would go.

I'm proud of us, we've done well, but winning this from here will take a monumental effort of legendary proportion.

Sykes, Kalas, Pring, James and Scott all been quality

I'd possibly nominate O'Leary to join that list. Couldn't do anything for the goal and has done his job well. Maybe he's the level below "quality" in that he's "done his job", but I think he's due some recognition.
