If we get relegated from this position we absolutely deserve it.

For sure. Very good chance if we lost the next 10 we would still have enough. Don't want to test that hypothesis mind!

Good three points, that, and two very well taken goals. Thought we dominated from start to finish, although the best chance fell to them.

Scott looked class playing a bit deeper and Pring goes from strength to strength.

I can’t believe it but that’s our first home win against Blackpool since 2009! Good that it all but secures safety, too.

A bit of luck with the build up to the 2nd but we deserved that, due some.

Still a bit shot shy but that will improve with confidence.

One thing I find frustrating is when in possession we get boxed in out on the touchline and lose the ball. Scott can wriggle out of most things but as a team we struggle sometimes and need to go back and around to find space elsewhere, then re build.

That was a great team performance. Was that two goals from open play and outside of the box ?
The side look well drilled and motivated. We should have had this years ago.
Well done to all and particularly the pilot of the new Bristol City, Mr Pearson.

Great post. NP really has turned this club around. WTF was going on previously.

A goal from outside the box, three points against a bogey team and the sheets are in the wash today.

Decent performance overall.

Cornick the whipping boy did his part for the second goal and OTC getting league minutes tops off a good day.

Want to mention Andy King, gets stick but thought he was excellent today, picking up decent positions all over the pitch sweeping up or getting us up the pitch. A really clever pass to Weimann for his goal after Tanner had made the space on the overlap. Well done to him, must be difficult for him to put the minutes in at his age but he's been thrown in and done what's asked of him today and away in midweek.

We have had it, plenty of times. Just not always consistently

Great result from a very similar performance to the Huddersfield match - shows what fine margins there are in the Championship. A good clean game too, with ref not given much to do, although I thought he's one of the better ones ( despite missing the penalty shout!,)

It is. For what it is worth I thought today we were much more dominant in the first half. Sometimes you need to keep plugging away.

The worrying thing is the lack of goals our play deserves,so if that’s all I got to moan about then we know we are heading in the right direction ?

Good, solid performance by all involved and a well-deserved three points.

Scott brilliant and showed why he's easily worth £30M. He's like three players rolled into one,

Pring was a tower of strength, fouht for every ball, and put his body on the line without flinching.

Pearson continues to work wonders with whatever is available to him.

Didn’t realise QPR are 20th, blimey that’s a terrible season.

They’ve really crumbled once their manager went up to Rangers. They could be in a spot of bother, but the could be saved by the fact the Wigan, Huddersfield and indeed Blackpool look woeful

Frustrating first half in which we didn’t look like scoring. Great finish by Weimann for our first goal (shows the value of shooting on sight) and excellent  composure by Scott for the second. What a player he is. Overall a deserved win against a very limited Blackpool side.

We've had players like that before, but unfortunately the 3 players rolled into one were Baz Savage, Lois Diony and Tony Dinning!

Close between 2 or 3 for mom, the steady and much improved Vyner, Scott, Anis thought J Dasilva put in some miles as well

Someone mentioned that the first goal was City’s first goal from a shot outside the box this season. I can’t believe this is true, but there haven’t been many. Any stato out there who can confirm how many we have scored?

What was the attendance today ?

Looked like the lowest saturday crowd for this season.

Not many from Blackpool, but fair play to those who did make the journey, long way to go for a 12.30 ko and the weather up there and on the way must have been shite.

19k + decent I'd say

Official attendance announced as 19k, but it looked much lower than that.

Scott was superb today. He lead City by example and quality. As a player with the right attitude, he is bound for a top quality career.

He'll probably move on this summer with a hefty transfer fee to bolster our recruitment for next season. But I wonder if he stayed for one more season, that it would be a greater benefit in our efforts to break the "non Premier" hoodoo.

The only pass he never completed  was the one where he slipped in the first half. With the goal he was MOM by a mile for me.

After the comments about from Nigel about Omar Taylor Clarke seeing King start surprises me, I get that he offers experience but he's not even close to James in terms of quality and I thought we'd be giving the lad a start as he'd be hungry.

I think this game could be won or lost in the middle today.

Post-match - Won in midfield ???

We are  very good around the box ,but no good in it.

With funds so limited I really hope Cornick will turn out to be a lot better than he has appeared so far ,as an out and out forward would make such a difference.

This is what you get with a team that defends deep, it just means the box is congested.  Got to work hard for your openings.  In another game, we are 2 or 3 up.  Want to see Scott’s shot again, which the defender blocked / headed away…from my angle looked like it was going in bottom corner???

I think you’ve got to give some credit to Blackpool’s defenders, defending as a unit.

This is so frustrating, we've been all over them and 11 shot with only 1 on target. Very hard to watch!

I found our dominance a joy to watch.  Wasn’t like we weren’t creating, just Blackpool getting desperate blocks in.

Bristol City saying 4 shots on target not 1 that Sky say. I agree with City. A blocked shot can still be on target

Yeah, but of a pet hate for me…if you don’t want to call it a shot on target, at least have a line for blocked shots too.  #solidarityforblockedshot
