GrahamC
Pretty sure someone on here was back to slagging him off recently “what role does he play for us now”. Hope that person was watching today, as he certainly did lots of “running around”. 6 1
JP Hampton
Yeah. The FBC Podcast have little if anything positive to say about him either. Even when he was top goal scorer last season. 2
Open End Numb Legs
A glorious goal, the sort of thing you dream of doing as a kid. A goal that Match of the Day would talk about for 5 minutes after a prem game....oh hang on.... 6
Davefevs
His link-up play was generally good today also. Although pitch was slippy under-foot, it was a lovely surface to knock it about on. Andi can sometimes be 110mph, but I thought he was good today, even w/o the goal.

You're right mate, you're not going to get close to saving those.
Pezo
I couldn't believe it when they stood off of him, as soon as I saw that I thought this is going to be good.
ExiledAjax
His 49th goal for us (185 games - so better than 1 in 4). Just one more needed to get on the honours board for scoring 50 for the club. Get it this season Andi 2
IAmNick
Thought he was great today. Good runs, found space well in the box (one of the few players we have who knows when to stop moving to find space), and the goal to top it off.
Robbored
It certainly a spectacular effort. We had an excellent view as he received the pass I sensed that he was going to shoot and was up celebrating as he hit it! I-0 is rarely enough and to Scott bag the second was quite a relief!
Danwal
Personally think he should have been playing upfront in recent weeks, our most prolific scorer and his work rate is better than wells. Doesn’t make sense to stick him out wide or playing behind wells but needs must today

Popular Post Major Isewater
If Andi Weimann wasn’t at the club already he would be exactly the type of player that Nigel would want here. He was never formally released as a free agent. Still, Nige clearly made efforts to keep him here. 1960maaan
Andi's best game this season IMO. Screamer and from his swinger. He can sometimes lace those into a couple of rows past Row Z ( that's way past the non existent Row M in G*s terms) , but that was as good a connection as you will see. Starts outside the post, keeper has no chance. So pleased for him.

elhombrecito
Had to listen to the guys who sit behind me slagging him off for an hour (as they do every week), claiming that he's lost his pace, can't pass, just runs round a lot, and that "we're basically playing with ten men when he plays". So, it was rather pleasing when he spanked it into the top corner right in front of us. F*****g idiots. 7 6

I was saying before that hit why don't we have a pop at goal more just like Blackpool had with a strike outside the box and he pops up with that

Sitting in the Dolman, I only appreciated the brilliance of that goal when they played it back on the big screen. Bloodly amazing. I was, however, celebrating the goal before the ball had done little more than left Andi's foot. Sometimes you just know. Mr Popodopolous
Fantastic strike. First goal outside the box this season deserves to be him for his prior track record, his hard work, his self sacrifice- very happy. Perhaps his confidence will start to return and maybe he'll go on a run between now and May.

bcfcredandwhite
Not claiming to be an expert, but I posted on another forum that we should take a few pops from distance, as we seem to try to twist and dance it through a congested box every time - it seems that Andi and/or Nige read my post and acted accordingly!!!! Well done Andi - great goal from a great pro.
cidered abroad
That was a corker from outside the box. If I have a criticism of City, we are trying to get our goals from tap ins. That's OK but try shooting from edge of the penalty box a bit more as we all forget those that sail into row 25 when one like today sends us on our way to a win.

Nige said on Friday that we are a team that score from close-in, not from shots outside the box…in reference to questions about breaking down teams that sit deep. That told him! fgrsimon
Form is temporary, class is permanent. For me that was the most important goal of the season, now 16 points above bottom 3, where it could have been 10.
Garland-sweden
In swedish we say: han visade vart skåpet ska stå. He showed were the cabinet is standing. The goal and Weimann is pure class. Over the seasons his been here, our best player. He started well this season and then a dip as the whole team. He still offers good things to the team and think he Will score more goals. Our team is strong, we got Sykes and Weimann, Bell, Cornick, Conway, Wells up front. Nice to see Dasilva had s good game, Im not his greatest supporter but he is a player with lots in him.

Red-Robbo
About a minute before Weimann's shot, I said to the guy next to me, "only Andi has the confidence to shoot from outside the box, and that looks the only way we'll get that first goal". Next thing you know - boom - a cracker and no mistaka! Excellent use of telepathy, though I say so myself. Seriously, Weimann was back to his industrious best yesterday and though Mehmeti's runs might've been more eye-catching, he caused them all sorts of problems. What's nice is Weimann, like Dasilva, reacts like a true pro to games on the bench: when he gets a start, he takes his chance to re-establish himself as a first-choice. Squad discipline, trust in the gaffer and the sort of healthy competition that makes teams tick.
One Team
What makes the goal even more impressive is Weinmann took the ball out wide on the right, crossed it in, then followed up the held up ball before that thunderbastard shot! Talk about make and score it yourself!
Red_Alligator
I wish he'd have a pop from that sort of range more often. I'm sure we'd see more screamers like that, it's well within his capabilities. Lovely goal Andi !!
Gazred
He had enough time and space to take 2 shots! Takes nothing away from a glorious strike. He can be a clinical finisher from inside and outside the box on his day. Real collectors piece yesterday.
