Look at the live table mate. Everton have a +7 GD on Leicester.

They have a bigger number, but it’s a minus. Leicester have the better GD. It why Leicester were safe before Everton scored.

And so it all did turn on the Leicester v Everton 2-2. That missed penalty, for reasons unknown taken by Maddison, oh how the turntables.

An injustice that a basket case like Everton survive, but I've got an away day 12 minutes from my house by train. Swings and roundabouts.

Well that's a shame. They always get away with it, always.

Two, maybe 3 compliant sides have gone down, somehow they defy their poor away form their terrible away record to absolutely annihilate a side who have finished 6th in the table and beaten and competed with a host of top PL sides this season.

3 times Everton have survived on the final day now and they’ve been at home every time. So lucky but still their deluded fans complain

Indeed, their forum is awash not with celebrating they’ve stayed up but vitriol for their board and team for putting them in that position, such is their sense of entitlement. Such a shame they’ve stayed up.

They're rightly furious with their board.

There was a truce called in order to get behind the team for the last few weeks to get them over the line, but now they're letting them have it. Atmosphere is very different to when they survived last season.

I understand people being upset that Everton survived yet again but they've done so because the 3 teams below them have been bloody awful!

Yep. If you look at the Leicester squad, that should not be close to getting relegated when you compare it to Everton, Bournemouth, Forest etc.

Only themselves to blame.

Well it didn't quite work out as I hoped this weekend.

Even though I wanted Leicester to stay up it was still painful watching the Everton fans going through the tension of those last 15 mins. Not sure dancing on the pitch afterwards taking selfies as if they had won the cup was a great look, good that most stayed off.

So will Dean Smith be out now? Leicester will need an experienced man that can work with vastly reduced resources, much tighter budgets , can rebuild a club and understands the demands of the Championship. Might be an idea to sort Nige out that new contract soon.

Serial failure (like Fat Sam) aught to go back to Walsall, just his dap off !

If those are accurate then really it shows how good Brentford and Brighton are doing tbh.
