Never noticed before, on main event as well. Hows our record on Sky ? The nation will not be watching, what could possibly go wrong🤔

Perfect game for Sky if you are a city fan. One of the furthest trips of the season on a Wednesday night, great chance for many who would not be able to go.

Newcastle/PSG that night as well, surely no contest for any neutrals out there as to which game to watch…

No.....I would pick an EFL game over the over-hyped rubbish in Europe .

It's not really the match thread yet- but I do think Rotherham didn't back Warne as they should.

The profile of players they have signed under Taylor for Rotherham is quite high. Or perhaps Warne himself was keen on that profile of player ie Washington etc. Those they added in January were drastically different to those in summer 2022 e.g.

There are a few that will watch just because it`s not the CL and of course 50,000 s*gs hoping we get stuffed - it`s the most important game of the week for them.

I actually like the CL. Always good to see the best players.

For those going to Rotherham; https://boards.footymad.net/showthread.php?t=38310487

"It’s bring a friend for a fiver, not guaranteed to be sat at side of you or even in same stand laugh.gif but still at good game for them to watch"

hmm; does that also apply to visiting fans? Red & white scarf, carry a whippet and utter "Eeh bah gumm" and you're in!

They'll be setting alarm clocks in Botafogo, and arranging shift changes in Montenegro. In Spain they'll be heard saying 'it's bigger than el classico'.

Ever been to Newcastle, even spent a bit of time there?

If you had you'd realise just how stupid and jealous your post sounds

It's going to be a bit chilly up in Yorkshire compared to the balmy temperatures of the West Country. We that in mind I will be bringing a Ferret to put down my trousers to keep me warm rather than expose my whippet ( Oooo Matron ) to the elements.

Well your the one with the stupid post clever clogs , been there many times on football tours , stag nights and twice watching city ( again stayed the weekend ) work up there , it’s not a dig at the People of the north east but a dig at the press who wax lyrical about them , every team has hard core great supporters .

this maybe a bit before your time but kevin keegans first game in charge for them was against us when the beat us either 3 or 5 nil / 1 I know we got hammered the gate was 30,000 odd thousand the home game before that was 12,000 so all teams have there ups and downs , easy to be fanatical when your doing well .

Newcastle gutted no doubt when we were chosen for live tv on the same night.

Is there not a local pub where you could watch it? I always enjoy watching football in the company of like-minded fans and a few pints help as well.

Not where I live mate, village pub has recently closed and they wouldn’t know what football was anyway!

That's a shame, unbelievably the Star in Pill has just reopened very unusual but welcome for a pub to reopen once closed.

Excuse my ignorance...does the fact the game is on Sky mean it's not available on BCTV?

Correct….unless via vpn….and assuming RTV works too.  Looks like only certain countries too.

I see it is not being shown in Clipperton, which is probably not a huge surprise as this is a small, i.e. minuscule unpopulated island in the Pacific.

It was 5-0* and we were lucky to get that. When they scored their first a  good proportion of the away enclosure were celebrating.

(*I think. It was a long time ago. We didn't score though)

Keegan’s first game was the 3-0 defeat in Feb 1992. The 5-0 game was September 92.

Went to both and was unbelievable to see how much of a hero KK was to the geordies.

Thanks. Makes sense. I would have been at both as well  though for the life of don't remember seeing two league games there. I do remember going up for a league Cup game after we'd lost the home leg 5-1. I was dedicated back then 😀
