Redstart
I know they've been crap for a long while, but to sack him after losing to top of the league Leicester and after having a guy sent off too does seem a bit harsh

Red-Robbo
Good L1 and L2 manager. Failed at Championship football now with two clubs. I don't dislike the guy from what I've read about him - a real character - but the leap between those divisions for managers is as big as what is expected from players. Some aren't suited.

Seems a bit harsh,,, he got wycombe up, and they gave everything they had, but were unable to compete,, and qpr have been a mess for a while now. LondonBristolian
John Eustace was assistant there for four years until 2022 and has been linked with the managers’ job before. Surely he’s going to be top of their list?

With a very similar squad Beale managed to get a run of decent performances out of the players. Gareth is an enthusiastic manager who succeeds by firing up the players but simply doesn't has the tactical ability for the Championship, QPR has had the odd good game under him but in the majority they have been entirely outplayed and out thought. The board has given him as long as they realistically could to turn it around, before relegation becomes guaranteed, and there have been no signs of that turnaround happening. As you say, Ainsworth does come across as a nice character, but, footballing reasons aside, I suspect that, due to his long hair and Rock and Roll extracurricular lifestyle, he would be a complete nonstarter as far as SL is concerned. Eddie Hitler
QPR are delighted to announce the appointment of Martí Cifuentes as the club’s new head coach. The 41-year-old Spaniard arrives from Swedish top-flight side Hammarby, where he has been for the past two years. Some shocking owners around, sadly I didn't think we usually made senseless sackings but we appear to have joined such clubs. (Thinking more us and Birmingham). Like the 'releasing a pig into the office environment' sketch Actually Ainsworth is a good bloke but should have stayed at Wycombe where he did a brilliant job. I loved the fighting spirit they showed in that one season in the Championship. We deserved to go down more than they did that year. The Gas could do worse than him but don't tell them. The Pearson sacking is harsh obviously but I don’t think it’s half as bad as that Birmingham decision. One thing you have to remember, Pearson was one of two managers to have lasted 2 years before he was sacked THAT speaks volumes on how impatient owners are in the second tier
