robinforlife2
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I fully expect Frank Lampard to be our next manager. He missed out on the Rangers job, and wants a return to management. Michael Johnson has said he will work with him as a number 2 wherever Lampard ends up. Don't care if people laugh at this, but a very good friend of mine, who played in League One and the Championship all his life, is good friends with Frank, and he has told me about 10 minutes ago, that Lampard wants the City job, and his people have made contact with the club. 4 1 1

LondonBristolian
If we were set on an ex-Chelsea manager, I’d go for Hayes over Lampard every day of the week, week of the month, month of the year and year of the decade. Lampard is a serial failure as a manager. If we go for him, we deserve to serially fail. 3

Not laughing , can only take what you say at face value, depends if we have already lined up who we want as some believe on here I’ve just heard all our our November games are live on Sky now so who knows

lenred
Worrying if he has approached us. George Rs
To be fair, don’t think he was to bad at Chelsea, and iirc was good with blooding youngsters and utilising them correctly. 4th place and an fa cup final in your first season in the big house isn’t too bad. Pretty sure that was their season under a transfer embargo as well. Don’t think it’ll happen, but would take him over Nathan jones in a heartbeat. Mr Popodopolous
Tomori, Mount, Wilson. In the same team, at Championship level. Yep, scrape 6th!! Played a key role but by no means the sole one, in their overspending and then running aground. No thank you.

hinsleburg
I don't think it would happen but don't think I'm against Lampard quite as much as everybody else. Would give the club a big profile raise and there's no way he would come without being given a budget. Did an OK job at Derby and as alluded to before went to Chelsea too early and Everton was never going to be the right fit. One thing that does put me on edge with any new manager but Lampard in particular is expensive loan signings. I've got used to us not having and then subsequently trying to replace them year after year. Selfishly, my eldest has just started reading his books, think it would be pretty exciting for him so for that reason alone bring him in
