italian dave
And as we speak, they’re installing the “safe room” at Ashton Gate for both sets of owners on Saturday!
Mr Popodopolous
Good owners are running out a bit- Andy Holt has put Accrington up for sale, Sheffield United are up for sale- no credible takers, Burnley time will tell, Mike Ashley could be buying Reading- at least he pays the bills albeit hasn't really been tested without PL or Parachute Payments. Think West Brom might be up for sale, Everton seem to be. The landscape is a fairly poor one but no real merit to picking the example of an absolutely disastrous owner and comparing really.

Sleepy1968
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67268518 TLDR: Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has asked fans to raise £2m in the coming days to help the club pay an outstanding debt to HM Revenue and Customs and cover wages. The Thai businessman said: "If 20,000 people gave £100 then it's £2m, and it'd be clear - so we can finish it. Aren't they also the club that wanted fans to buy 10 year season tickets 'cash only'. Wonder what @visting owl thinks of all this? There might be 2 sets of fans having a go at their owners Saturday
Owl Visiting
Sadly it's just the latest episode with this guy, but perhaps the most infuriating yet. All these problems we've had the last few months since promotion - Moore leaving, extortionate ticket prices (our neighbours in the Premier League are considerably cheaper) new signings nowhere near the level required, a second rate coaching team being brought in who failed to win a single game, and now a failure to pay HMRC - are all down to one thing, he's ran out of money. He's constantly blaming everyone (particularly the fans) other than himself, and will continue to do so as we spiral down the leagues, probably on a similar path to Reading, if not worse. The thing we all want is for him to sell up, but he still seems to think he's entitled to all his money back, when it truth we're currently worth a fraction of what he's put in.

Sturgess
Reckon we could get a collective and unanimous “sack the board” chant going, belted out from the home and alway ends? Stranger things have happened!

Lansdown has made a mess of running the club the last 5 years or so, and the decisions this seasons are the epitomy of his lack of judgement, but though he may be less and less committed his heart is in a relatively good place (as far as I see it) as an owner. I think we shouldn't compare our struggles to those of Wednesday/Reading.
