Ticket availability is all over the shop! Hardly anything available at all! Can't believe that is correct. Must just be everyone logging in at same time, or maybe not released the season tickets yet. Think I might wait 30 mins for it to calm down!

When I logged on at 9:58 there was briefly none, then loads, then hardly any.

Purely based on the maths there has to be loads there, but as usual this club can’t get the basics right and we’re all wasting our time.

  • I had the exact same error in a prior season, I opened a different browser same machine and it worked (device fingerprint includes browser)

All of which points to 3D Secure failing on a specific prior card x device combination. Also instinctively the timing of the error after 4-5 seconds from payment submissions feels like the result of a convoluted failure of 3D Secure message exchanges too. What I can't understand is why these errors (have existed for at least 2 years) are not being logged and investigated. ☹️

The other thing I’ve noticed is that when it’s a SCA, 3DS, whatever it’s called issue it’s a transaction failure as opposed to a declined payment. In other words, if you ring your card provider they tell you there’s no problem with your card.

Completely agree about the time taken to get it fixed though. I had the problem when trying to set up a recurring payment mandate with a company in Italy. That, I can see, might be problematic. But they got it fixed fairly quickly - and in the meantime kept me updated.

It’s been like it for years, I used to get the same problems when I had membership instead of a ST and that was at least 2 years ago

Weird, isn’t it. I don’t think I’ve ever had that problem in the City site. But I’ve had it elsewhere a few times.

No, clearly not the case. Who knows who’s pressing what buttons behind the scenes. Maybe what you’re seeing is all the unsold season tickets, which have been freed up, but without the rest being made available. Just guessing! Hopefully it settles down shortly, and hope you can get your ticket.

We do have a lot of members these days. Given we have 15,000 sth now as well, it’s entirely possible that we could be down to single seats in no time as soon as it was open to members.

Absolutely no chance we sold 10,000 tickets in 30 seconds. It was singles from the outset.

Some season ticket holders  will have upgraded to different seats it being a big game and fairly cheap, my sister and nephew did. 
some of the issues could be down to people having seats in their basket and not being able to pay, then after a set time they become available again. Would explain the fluctuations in availability

I had this. It wouldn't recognise my linked family member as a BCFC member.

The basket timed out when my constant refreshing wasn't working and tickets were released, so I quickly managed to re-select the tickets that were released, then it all worked!! Very odd.

I think you're right Matt. I managed to finally get a seat at about 10.15 after it kept rejecting my seat selection. It appears that there are only about 100 left in the whole stadium so i'm not sure its going to make general sale?

There wouldn’t have been 10,000 seats available at 10am. Given there will be a couple of thousand taken out for sponsors/hospitality, plus the Atyeo not being available, that would leave about 5/6000 at most to go on sale to members.

I simply do not believe we have sold that many seats that quickly. There is an issue.

Either way. We have not sold that many seats instantly. I have done this numerous times as a member and this is nothing like the pattern of any previous sale.

I get this message all the time when getting tickets with my membership. It’s usually because as a member I can only have one ticket but when I get tickets for me and my son they are all in my name to begin with. You just need to click on the little pencil icon next to your name on the child tickets and change each ticket to the season ticket or membership of that child

Indeed, payment the big problem today. Many transaction failures.

Either way. We have not sold that many seats instantly. I have done this numerous times as a member and this is nothing like the pattern of any previous sale.

Membership has been increasing all the time though, the more members there are, the quicker the tickets will go. 
 

The bigger point should be, members who have been to 3/4 games this season should have had a higher priority than those who haven’t.

Agreed. I’d even argue that members who have attended x amount of games this season should have had priority over brand new half season ticket purchasers.

Remember it well, the queue was all they way up Ashton Road towards Duckmoor Road. Also remember the plume of smoke when they blew up the warehouses on Canons Marsh that morning.

I agree regarding the membership priority but i suppose it has been difficult for the club to administer ticket sales with such a short turnaround. The members sale window was small as it was.

Does anyone know how many memberships have been sold?

I know what you mean. The website even announcing the tickets seemed to be encouraging people to sign up for membership so they get a better chance of getting a ticket.

I only managed to get my away ticket because my mate was on it and got all of ours early doors.   Couldn’t believe they sold out so quickly.  So guess the same applies now just on a bigger scale. Certainly proves the interest is there that’s for sure which is good to see.

These blocks have been showing as sold out since 10am. Suddenly there are hundreds. That doesn’t explain it.

The pattern today is like nothing we have seen before. It’s all the shop today and I’m convinced there is still a lot of availability not showing.

There was VERY briefly for me too - and in many other blocks - then they all disappeared in an instant. It simply doesn’t add up.

Yes, I did remember…and you have much more knowledge of the likes of 3DS side than me.  It was Joe Morrell’s dad that dealt with them, I worked more on the Digital Registration and Login parts of SCA, and less on the payments part…although did a bit on Fraud Rates / Tolerances.  Sadly, I really enjoyed that work.

Agree, the system is rubbish, particularly bad today, transactions not working at the checkout. I'm offering part of the explanation. We will never get the truth, of course.

Hundreds of seats available in the central blocks of the South Stand. I thought these were all season ticket holders?

It's a mystery why this stand is half empty for league games even though it's 'sold out' and confirms what I've always thought that it's all a load of bollocks!

Absolutely not.

A few minutes ago, about 300 seats were suddenly made available in the South Stand. Yet this is our most densely populated season ticket stand.

It makes absolutely no sense that we would have sold all the Dolman and Lansdown tickets instantly at 10am, and yet have hundreds available in the South Stand. There is definitely something up.

Also while we are on about stadium oddities, the WHU site says their allocation of 3,414 tickets sold out. Why, when there's no segregation to think about aren't we selling all of the 4,000 plus (I've seen the capacity of the stand anything up to 4,200) tickets in the Atyeo for this game?

Does people having certain seats in their baskets have anything to do with them not showing up? Might explain why they might end up reappearing if people decided not to buy the seats that are in basket.
