Assuming he's fit, this is odd

Pretty sure Lewis Thomas always travels as third keeper (his no. 32 shirt is often shown hung up in the dressing room).

Guess Manning thinks that the likelihood of having to change your keeper is low but having to do so twice is extremely unlikely.

I just reckon it wouldn’t do any harm & hasn’t deprived someone else of a place on the bench.

I do worry about the message it sends out to the young players. It seems to be a pretty open declaration that nobody - or at least nobody who is not out on loan - is even vaguely in the picture to break through to the first team next season.

Do we have anyone good enough?

Anyone having trouble with the Robins TV connection? Mine keeps stopping and staring every few seconds.

they thought they'd booked Gary Collier for co-comms, but admin got Norman instead

I genuinely don’t know. We may well not. But, even if not, I’m not sure if being that blatantly open about it is helpful. I suppose you could see it as being brutally honest and laying out a direct challenge to the players to prove him wrong but I suspect that is a motivational technique that works on some but not others…

Sounds like Kal Naismith's English has improved since he first joined 😂

I like Naismith on Comms. He's experienced enough to not entirely toe the line. He'll be critical if he thinks we merit it. He provides good insights.

Southampton fans would have a heart attack if they saw this pitch.

Agreed, nice to have someone who can be honest about the performance, as oppose to a Bristol Sport robot telling us that we're unlucky to be losing despite having 1 shot in 80 minutes

My theory is that the older/higher paid/senior players have the authority, confidence, and experience to be a little critical. Kalas and Weimann previously have been good as well.

Pitch looks like it's had sheep grazing on it

I was skiv....working near Sheffield during the week (Wakefield) and it absolutely lashed down all the time I was there. Not surprised the pitch is sodden to be honest.

Bollocks! Soft goal. Zac not tight enough IMO.
