Season Ticket Renewal!

Concern is people will just renew blindly. I’m not saying for people to not renew if they love the entire match day experience. But hold off until the last minute. Use your brain and don’t be a sheep. This is now a very good chance to make Lansdown squirm as you say.

Exactly. Can't believe two people on here saying already renewed. KEEP THE MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT for as long as possible. You've just given Lansdown 6 weeks interest on YOUR money

Five weeks of holding back just MIGHT result in one or two changes that are required.......if enough do it.

They can bullshit all they like, they will know what is actually happening. It might be that we DO have 10K that will unconditionally buy a season ticket as soon as possible. If so then fine, won't be changing my stance on account of it though.

"Winning isn't just about tactics and skill, it's about inspiring others to believe in their abilities and rise above pressure. In moments of adversity, we find our true strength by staying united, focused, and determined." - Liam Manning

(ChatGPT was used for this but it does show the above quote from manning is laughable)

I don't agree with sacking Tinnion, he's a legend like Scott Murray,  demote him,

As I said on another thread, Tinnion has stabbed two people in the back to the detriment of the football club. Demote him down and he’ll just have the opportunity to do the same in the future. Just get him out.

The difference between Scotty and Tinnion is that speak to anyone and they’ll tell you Scott will do anything for anyone and put others first. The other guy is the polar opposite.

The clubs twitter feed celebrating each renewal one by one isn’t the great look they think it is. Small time attitude

Peak Fans Forum activity to rush to tell the club that you’ve renewed.

Like they really care, apart from having your money.

Just recieved an email saying i can now renew. Went through process to find that not only has the ticket price gone up by £40 as already advised but they have added a booking fee.

Unbelieveable

Should be 23 x £1.25. They've missed a trick.

I'm sure the booking fee was shown of all their promotional literature, as legally required.

Video is extremely cringeworthy. Making out AG is a fortress. Dream on.

If you really want to make it a fortress then we need to rewind the clock 30 odd years where the crowds were actually very hostile and unwelcoming to away fans and opposition. Like a ******* library nowadays.

As my OH and I have decided we will renew, I think holding that off for as long as possible @Silvio Dante is the only way to show how we feel really.
We did think about not renewing, but there’s a lot involved in that decision, which isn’t solely about the way the club is being run.

I think ultimately it’s about wanting to support the team, above all else, as they aren’t responsible for this mess .

Fair enough that’s your view.

For me, when self-serving backstabbers become legends, that indicates the title legend needs redefining in the dictionary.

Just because you play in a legend match. Doesn’t make you a legend…

I also disagree most see him as a legend.. the term is used too much nowadays

Scott Murray is a real legend

That video couples with the tinnion interview on SOTC paints quite the picture.

Could’ve been filmed a while ago but they still chose to release it, they are quite evidently backing Manning to the sword here. Doesn’t suggest they think relegation is a possibility next year and they think, rightly or wrongly, he’s the man that can actually do this.

Suspect he’ll be given the “keys to the kingdom” to build his own side in the summer as well. Will be a very interesting next 6 months.

I know I will renew , I may think hard about it , I may wait until late on , but I will renew.

It took Lansdown making our seats Corporate and more than doubling the price for me to step away previously.
The problem is I do miss the social side, I have had mates who came for a drink before games, I can't do that and just go home . Plus I love the away day when we go in a group .

That said it isn't a million miles away from not bothering . More shit football , poor leadership , price rises , kit bollox etc and it will come .

Well, they are doubling down on Manning then with further reference to that awful poster/picture. I feel sick!

I don’t think that’s the case.

That will have been filmed weeks ago.

What we know about this club is that it’s massively disfunctional. So to think the media department are engaging with the football department over potential changes to branding that was agreed weeks ago in case Liam is sacked is just not going to happen. In fact, even if they did engage, they’d still go ahead with the promotion as any delay/change may indicate news of a potential sacking would get out.

Manning front and centre means absolutely nothing in relation to the stability of his position.

Also, the counter factual is to release ST promotional material without the current head coach featuring, no club does that.

Well, I'll probably renew, as I have the last 20-odd years, but...

I'm as royally cheesed off as I ever have been this season; and to cap off a really disappointing season, that looked interesting, and has been turned to ratshit by senior management, my 13yo son has started coming to matches this year, and I couldn't buy him a season ticket in the South Stand if I wanted too!

Might just not bother..

I'm feelling really apathetic, such a damn shame.

The ‘Fortress’ AG clips being constantly used for reference are all from one game, aren’t they? Christ.

Addition of a Nathan Baker challenge from 6 years ago is a nice touch too, they must’ve forgotten that he was sent off for that one

Nice clip of Tinnion stood watching training too, for absolutely no reason, as it clearly tradition.

Isn’t that exactly what withdrawing your support (i.e. not renewing a ST) is doing?

Nope. Withdrawing your money from a club that has been providing a poor product of entertainment for over 5 years now is totally fair enough. Blindly renewing season after season whilst being unhappy with what is on offer is just silly.

Withdrawing support as a fan? No chance. Still want the club to do well, but if you don't like what you're seeing and how the club is being managed then show some courage of your convictions and walk away until things change.

I'm really only watching them now because my own son, also 13 likes to go. Once he's older and starts going on his own I'll probably find something else to do.

Just fed up with the lack of dynamism leading the club. Fed up with hearing "ultimately we want to do this or that". Any fool can say that. What about setting some proper targets and some dates when these things are going to be achieved, like the rest of us in the working world.

I got heat for saying I'd renew a few days back but I will be. The only reason is that I have friends I go/sit with and more I see after the game. Football is a valued part of my social life (even though the game itself offers almost nothing of late). I'm not sure i would otherwise, instead opting for a membership.

The difference now, is that I'll rarely be declining invites for other things this coming season, should they clash with a game. In the past the match would come first.

Exactly the same for me. If I have an Over 50's game on a Sunday that clashes with a City game then City come second, simple as that. My gut feel, as I've said before is that many will wait until late but ultimately renew and we'll be hundreds down rather than thousands.......unless the worst is yet to come THIS SEASON (I don't see that happening though) and then they really will be thousands down, a number of thousands down.

You don't have to justify yourself if you choose to renew. If City is something you enjoy and you get value our of it then it's no body else's business what you spend your money on.

I think what grates some is that there are people who talk a big one on here, make a lot of noise, but end up renewing anyway 😂

Literally the exact same as how I feel, couldn’t put it any better.

I normally get to April time before thinking “hmm I do have city that day, but may as well go to X instead” because of the season being dead and gone.

Cardiff home was my last game of the season for sure, unless the final home game of the season is roaring sun, and there’s a BBQ pre/post game with the group on the cards, earliest I’ve ever sacked off my season ticket.

No need to get grief for that at all.  Everyone had their own reasons.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The two blokes in the back of the section below me must have a season ticket purely for the wifi signal…as they don’t look up from their phones at all during the game.  One day I’m gonna see if the text messages they send are actually to each other! 🤣🤣🤣

Due to stretched finances, I have to make a choice between renewing my ticket at City or renewing my Gentleman's subscription at Hot_Thai_Escorts.com.

I have just found out that Taeng-Mai isn't the beautiful lady she said she was, but is a Derek from Barnsley.

On reflection, I am likely to opt for the escort service over City, as the product is closer to that advertised.

Is it just me who hasn't received any communicatuon for season tickets renewals? I get most/all of the other e-mails but I haven't received anything and I know I have in the past.

I am holding off for now, there are 6 games between now and the deadline so I definitely wont be renewing until after those games.

I will probably renew but this is the first time in close to 30 years I feel like I'm just not that bothered. The only problem is that if Manning goes the four or five people involved in getting him here are still going to be around so it doesn't guarantee anything will change.

I guess it depends on your definition of support. My grandfather, who introduced me to City back in the early 90s, identified the difference between being a fan and being a supporter as the latter meaning that you give the club your money in some form, whether through ST or shirt sales or other means. In what way are you ‘supporting’ the club by not contributing in this way?

All that said, you’re welcome to your opinion and to take action accordingly as you see fit.

personally though, I’ll stick with it…with my eyes wide open. Nothing blind about this renewal, I know the ‘product’ isn’t great at the minute but I still enjoy going and would rather be there to witness the turn around than lurk on forums moaning about everything.

I've renewed , it was all down to weighing up the pro's and cons. It was very close this time, but renew my season card or shopping with the Mrs. Neither give much entertainment at the moment but City are Cheaper than shopping with my Mrs.

Not sure it's doubling down.

All this renewal stuff would've been in preparation for a good while.

The recent run of form - 6 defeats in the last 10 league games playing turgid football and losing against the worst teams in the league - has come at precisely the wrong time for them but what to do? It's not practical to ditch weeks of work, so they've just had to put it out, cursed their luck and are hoping for the best.

Which has made them look out of touch/cloth-eared/arrogant/incomepetent (again) - take your pick!

Sorry - just seen Silvio's reply earlier - it's what he said.

There will be various posts about how well season ticket sales are going, speed of take up etc etc. to make others think they are alone in not renewing.

Many will renew, for a multitude of reasons, as they would even if we were heading to L1. It is a passion, habit, social , whatever.

But, it would be very surprising if sales numbers were high, there will be indecision. Not helped by the tv schedule disrupting kick off times, money is tight.

Imagine going to the Hippodrome to watch an average cast act out a badly written play with a crap director.

Now imagine going to watch it at least 23 times.

No. Nor would I !!

I suspect 9-10k will renew quickly with a few thousand waiting and the rest not bothering. Two caveats, a calamitous run in and genuine relegation threat could severely reduce numbers and the opposite may persuade some who are not planning to renew take the plunge again. If I had to guess we will sell circa 13k overall if neither of the above occurs.
