Silvio Dante
To get away from the gloom, and as its international break, just stealing a challenge I saw earlier. In your lifetime watching City (so you have to have seen the player), what’s the best team/squad you can come up with on the condition you can only pick one player from each country. For the purpose of this it’s the country they represented internationally (so Semenyo is Ghana and no taking Scott as Jersey) No doubt with more thinking I might get better and this isn’t your best side - but your best balanced side (hence Sykes in midfield over Semenyo for example) And if anyone picks Henry McKop… My first stab: GK - Basso DR - Brennan DL - Barnard DC - Kalas DC - Webster MR - Murray ML - Sykes MC - Doherty (NI) MC - Testimitanu CF - Agostino CF - Weimann Subs 1. Akinbiyi 2. Semenyo 3. Maenpaa 4. Dziekanowski 5. Magnússon It’s more difficult than it may seem…
ralphindevon
You can’t have a world team without someone representing the world champions, France LoÏs Diony for Agostino!
ralphindevon
Actually, good as he was I’d sub Webster as my England pick and make room for Andy Cole, maybe move Magnússon to defence and Cole for Agostino or Weimann. Oh and Jan Moller for Basso Edited March 20 by ralphindevon

Kingswood Robin
Think Goater might force his way into the team. Alois (Alec) Eisenträger, a German PoW is an interesting one.

GrahamC
Just now, Silvio Dante said: Richard Foster? There’s a name I’d banished to the recesses of my mind! Plus with all the Scots that have played for us he’d be about 187th on my list..

I realise he was useless, but his uselessness made him a favourite in my friend group at the time...

Dont think there are two Scots unless you are including subs and if you are then Cormack drops off as a late withdrawal being replaced by Hodor. How many subs are you putting on the bench, only 5? PHILINFRANCE
Any particular reason why @Silvio Dante and @GrahamC showed national flags for all the countries, yet wrote NI?

Iphones. For some reason if you type Northern Ireland it won’t pull up the NI flag as an emoji, but does for all other countries. Yep subs have to be different nationalities as well. I was doing 5 but feel free to do 7
