Am glad it did as I sent news that we were on Sky to many neutral mates today. Back on game, Conway was sharper than he has been recently I thought. Structurally we were quite good, espcislly first half. Max had that one real alarming moment but otherwise impressive. My West Ham supporting mate (not local) said he enjoyed the match and we deserved it. He does call us 'Bristol City 0' though. Not sure that joke works well now as a WHUFC fan but he is a good mate and watches a lot of football. I don't get what Mavididi and Fatawu are doing. We play them because we want wingers who can beat their man. Yet I can't remember either having a go. The casual complacency from the players stems from the manager and his slow, ponderous ‘style’ which was outed as one dimensional and unsustainable a long time ago. And what about man management and motivation? I see none of that from Maresca. The players just don’t seem bothered. Sloppiness everywhere. No fight or aggression or quality in the key areas. What the hell does he do with them in training?? Their reaction makes this forum seem like a united band of happy clappers

A few of their players continually made niggley fouls but there was no reaction from the referee. He had a good 20 minutes at the start but after that he was balancing up the number of fouls they could have had with the number of penalties they got away with. There were several instances in the match where our player got barged off the ball and they got the free kick!
