mightyreds89
Anyone heard seen much about his form since signing for us? He’s gone from starting every week to now not, he last started a match on 13th Feb, since then he’s started 9 matches from the bench. Any idea what’s going on? in those 9 games he’s come on and scored 2 and been booked 5 times! Edited March 31 by mightyreds89

1960maaan
According to Transfermarkt and the BBC he played against Maidenhead and been involved in all their games. TBH I wouldn't be too upset on form , what concerns me more is the number of bookings he's picked up. Saw the Ebbsfleet game and he played pretty well . In 43 games he's scored 18 and 3 assists , maybe 3 sounds low but 18 from MF is good.

Remember how scott tailed off big time when he thought he was off, I remember his last game against burnley, he did not want to make a tackle. It has to play on your mind. 4

I have been told he’s been impressive in training & let’s face it, it is with us now where he’s going to be judged, not games for a team he’s leaving.
Living in LA
Unless I'm missing something (or this is an April Fools whoosh)...according to BBC Sport he's actually started every game for them since 13th February.
View from the Dolman
On the bench today but everything suggests he's featured heavily in recent matches as per @Living in LA's post which makes the suggestion from "their forum" prior to today's game that "he’s deservedly been dropped for poor performances" somewhat confusing! HengroveReds
Part of the deal was to play Aldershot in a pre season friendly wasn’t it or play at there ground? Level head for his age, learned the hard way starting at non league, let’s hope he gets off to a flyer in pre season Good to see he’s already gelling with our first team training when aldershot don’t play midweek. May even be in full time now there season is over

Red Skin
I love this interview. I love the interviewer so committed to his club, and with so much knowledge about Sokes time with them. I love the fact when Stokesy was asked about his move, he shifted it back to loving his time at Aldershot. He seems like a genuine lad and I hope it works out for him with us. Don't that stand (yes, stand) look ******* amazing too! 4

My gut feel is no he’s not, but as he’s u21 he doesn’t need to be added to the squad list. Elijah Morrison in the uncut video, maybe he has a chance of being included. 1

LondonBristolian
8 hours ago, TammyAB said: Is Stokes more likely to be a first team player next season or loaned out to L1 or L2? Said this on another thread but, if the plan is to only bring in two over the summer then I think there has to be a belief that three or four players already at the club will step into the first team squad. I’d have thought Stokes would be very much in the frame to be in and around the squad at a minimum.

He would obviously replace one of the attacking options on the bench and it wouldn’t be nakhi/cornick etc the only person he could replace is Adire. Either way hopefully one, or more, of the youngens get some minutes tomorrow.

Normally you’d have to be registered on our squad list at the end of the winter window, and normally he’d be registered with Aldershot for the season. Max Bird is registered on Derby’s squad list for example, not ours. But because he’s u21 that’s not the case. And because Aldershot are national league, it means it’s a bit uncertain. Seb Palmer Hpulden couldn’t finish at Newport tomorrow and play for us at Stoke next weekend for example.

Yep, and thinking about it, if the loan would have covered the playoff games then he's still registered for them . I'm pretty sure the penalty for fielding an ineligible player in a league game is simply a forfeit of any points gained in that match, plus a fine. We can take that penalty. It would have no effect on us. Could be that we try it. Test the EFL.
